Cowboys should win by a mile, but their defence is concerning and Knights have enough firepower to take advantage of that. The flip side of that, Knights haven't conceded 20+ points since round 22 against competition heavyweights Panthers in Penrith (and that was only 22 pts). I will tip the Cowboys in this, since it is at home, but I'm not overly confident. I hope Knights prove me wrong as I have some mates that go for the Knights haha. I guess it will all depend on how it starts, the 1st 15-20 minutes should be really telling, if Knights can make it a grind they might be a chance or if tear up the Cowboys paper thin defence while holding their own, they will walk all over the Cowboys, but if Cowboys get off to a flyer, it's all over red rover. It's a very unpredictable game. Storm vs Sharks is an interesting one, Storm have won 12 from 15 games at Aami Park against the Sharks, but the latest match saw the Sharks take the win in a tight one. Both teams were missing some of their best players, so it'll be interesting to see if having their full sides, changes anything. As for finals form, Storm are always a danger come finals time, Craig knows to get the boys ready to go, this is a very different list to 2017 and 2020, but even then, we have won finals since then, including beating the Chooks last year in a tight one. As for the Sharks, they have appeared in 3 finals over the last 2 years and lost all 3 of them. Sharks missed in 2021, they were in elimination finals in 19 and 20 and lost both of them. 2018 was the last time they won a final, so a long time ago, will that play a part? I'll tip my boys the Storm, but I know Sharks will be looking to get that hoodoo off their back and will come to play.....It all comes down to which Storm will turn up, the Storm that just gets by like in some of our games this year (which is still hard to beat) or the clinical top gear Storm that is near impossible to beat. Panthers vs Roosters, man I can't wait for this contest, Roosters have only 1 win against Storm/Panthers in the last 20~ matches, including 9 straight losses to Panthers. Roosters with a few key injuries, but still, there is the Trent Robinson factor and still some guns in the Roosters side, Teddy is having a good season and will look to put his team on his back and carry them over the line. As for Panthers, they are the 3x reigning premiers for a reason, even without Cleary they are hard to write off and will be a formidable side. If Cleary doesn't play, I think that really opens the doors up for a Roosters upset. If Cleary does play, they are much more formidable and will have a clutch player that can ice the game if it's close BUT there is a very big but, if Cleary plays and gets injured during the match (especially early), that could spell disaster for the Panthers, because they would be down a man. Now all that aside, Roosters and Panthers have been a bit shaky in form as of late, Panthers lost to both Storm (That game was at home and Cleary played most of it, not to mention, Storm scored while having a man in the bin) and Raiders, they also looked shaky against Titans, but got the job done. As for Roosters, they lost to Raiders and looked shaky against the Rabbits who are 2nd bottom of the ladder. So both teams have shown some weaknesses. I think Panthers should win, but I'm tipping the upset just for fun. Bulldogs vs Manly is an interesting one, all of these games are. Bulldogs up until a few rounds out from finals were on an absolute tear and could not be stopped, especially at home having not lost a game at home all season, they were on the verge of a potential top 4 finish. Then they had some shock losses to bring them back down to Earth, those losses were to their finals opponent Manly and also Cowboys, not only were they losses at home, but they were scored against heavily in each match, which was worrying considering they were the best defensive side this year. I do think that could potentially play into their hands as you would rather lose in H/A season than finals, especially if it's an elim final, they can fix up what went wrong and get themselves right. As for Manly, they got pumped by the Sharks and also lost embarrassingly to the Tigers of all teams. Tommy Turbo has an injury cloud over his head, he may be alright, he may not be. I think it should be a good game regardless, but I think Manly get the win, especially if Tommy plays. The finals experience (vs lack of) and the fact that they won a couple of weeks ago, should put them in the box seat, Manly has adapted better to not having Turbo with how often he gets injured, so I think compared to years past, they might be able to push past that.
