Heartwarming, wholesome old movie.... Damaged souls forgiving each other, falling in love, both brought together in spite of their blameless infirmities. Probably happened too in nearly the same way, somewhere, sometime. Great writing.

I haven't cried like this in eons! The last 5-minutes of the film had tears rolling out of my eyes! What a great movie - now I know why my parents loved Ginger Rogers and Joseph Cotten and ShirleyTemple so much!!!

Der Film zeigt, dass die Mutter immer die Mutter bleibt, was ein Vorteil sein kann, wenn die Mutter ihr Kind liebt. Für den Erzeuger des Kindes ist es sehr herausfordernd, aber ich fand es von beiden Vätern eine schöne Entwicklung, wie sie mit der Situation umgingen. Für den Arzt-Vater fand ich die Situation am schwierigsten, aber er wird Kraft bekommen, da er seine Entscheidungen weise und nicht egoistisch getroffen hat. Ein äusserst feinfühliger und lehrreicher Film, danke dafür.

My great Aunt & Uncle had Christmas 🎄 every year til i was about 24;@their lovely 40's ranchstyle home in Stephenville,Texas my grandparents eere from there my great grandparents too & buried there ...they Lived on ' Park Ave ' ..litte town just 60 miles of Fort Worth .the drive down was so dun wed listen to Christmas ⛄🎄 🎵 on radio .. get in the spirit.🎚️🥧☕💕

My Christmas ' growing up were spent around my family of coarse ..early on love the whole time.like we all do . Then id say from 7 on til 24 they were soent stull with beloved family .at a small town sw of Fort Worth,Texas.. called Stephenville..it was the closest thing to heaven .such wonderful memories....even the 'smells' bring back memories 🎚️🇺🇸🇨🇱🎄🫖🥧☕🎄🙏🙏

As an aging ol' lady... this film is a 1st for me as I've never seen it before. Gave it 10 out of 10 ☆'s. ThnX a mil 4gr8t classic film & Eng Subs. This movie reminds me of another Norwegian WWII (true based story). 'Edge Of Darkness' (1943) & Holland's WWII (true based story) 'Silver Fleet' (1941 - 1943 ??). Stay safe & blessed. ♡

Thank you very much for uploading this gem of days gone by. Ginger Rogers was a breathtaking and elegant beauty. A very classy lady. Shirley Tempel`s character was outstandingly annoying. Considering Mrs. Marshall's understanding, considerate, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent character, it makes no sense that she could have a daughter like Barbara. Keeping secrets and leaving children in the dark without the appropriate explanation of facts always leads to unnecessary complications. It`s a relief to know that not all teenagers are a pain in the neck.
