Most talent, best offense AND defense he rarely needed, stronger and faster across the ENTIRE court than prime Nadal and Joker. @@Alexx22570 Not true. Even when Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray were young players they were already beating Federer (who was in his mid-20’s at this point) at a better rate than the older and more established stars of that era. Federer is an all time great who was lucky to not have another all time great in his prime to compete against him for most of the 2000’s.
@Alexx2257027 күн бұрын
@@hitthurdeaux it is very true actually, if you remove clay then the slam final H2H is actually 3 - 2 in favour of Roger in regard to Nadal. Also the reason why the new gen were beating Roger slightly more was because everyone from Roger’s gen were already washed due to injuries. You aren’t fooling anyone.

Out of curiosity, what is the criteria for choosing exactly which 4 years period is used? For example, why start at a certain year and not just thr next or previous year? Thanks in advance
@G4meSetM4tch29 күн бұрын
For the most part it's easy as most players had one clear prime. In the case of players like Agassi, Nadal, and Djokovic who had more than one I used Slams won to choose the years IF win % was within one percentage point, if it was higher I used win %

kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2fOnXqQnMidh80si=4unngeoaE784fX4x Just one of many more educational videos from this channel that you should check because what you said in this video simply isn't true for me. Everyone who understands tennis knows that both 2011 and 2015 seasons that Djokovic had were easily the greatest tennis seasons of all time by a player. Not only that Federer never even won 10 big titles in one season, but he also faced weaker competition than Djokovic all the time. I get it that if you look at titles, from 2004 to 2007 Federer won most titles than everyone in the history, but his competition was easily weaker than Djokovic's competition from 2014 to 2016 when he had to face Nadal and Federer and prime Murray and Wawrinka. Federer's greatest opponent until 2006 was Roddick... And he ia worse than all these players.

@@hristijandimitrovski8664 in that specific vid: 1. Elo is a relative metric , not an absolute one. 2. Ranking points: Flawed comparison, Federer had to win more matches for the same number of points + masters were not mandatory. 3. No mentioning of opposing facts when comparing the best seasons (Fed higher win percentage, more titles, more match wins, losing to fewer rivals). Hope that helps

@@John-lr4hp LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣FEDERER DIDN'T HAVE BETTER MORE WINS THAN DJOKOVIC IN 2015😂😂😂😂 Elo Rating is totally valid metric because Elo Rating improves with winning and declines with loosing and of course. If you win against tougher opponents, your Elo rating increases much more. You can say everything you want, the facts are the facts. Djokovic in 2015 had much tougher competition than Federer in 2006, not only that he had twice more top 10 wins, BUT HE FACED FEDERER TWICE, WAWRINKA IN HIS PRIME TWICE, MURRAY TWICE AT GRAND SLAMS, than when he won his 6 masters titles, he defeated Nadal on clay, Federer, Wawrinka and Murray 4 times. On other hand Federer faced Nadal twice at grand slams and defeated him once and other toughest player that he faced was Roddick🤣🤣🤣🤣 eho is obviously weaker than both Murray and Wawrinka and not to mention that Djokovic faced both Federer and Nadal, not only Nadal😂😂. Also, not only that Federer won 2 less masters than Djokovic in 2006, but there wasn't any grand slam winner that he faced in semi-finals and finals while I already mentioned, Djokovic faced Federer, Nadal on clay, Wawrinka and Murray 4 times. Waay, waay tougher competition. And yeah, even Djokovic's 2nd best season is better than Federer's 2006.

Great question. Because I chose only one 4-year period per player, for Djokovic I was in between 13-16 and 20-23. 13-16 he won 7 slam and 90 win %, while 20-23 he won 8 slams but just 88 win % so he would've been right above Nadal (11-14: 6 slams/89 win %)

😂😂😂 You all are so pathetic! You should really start a life outside, get some fresh air and stop writing bullshit thinking you have the right to judge anyone who is better than you! Real life is based on facts, not on opinions. The facts are that the ITIA certified that it was contamination, not doping, and that part of the ruling was not questioned by Wada. Now Wada is appealing to the CAS claiming he was guilty of negligence, because he trusted his physiotherapist and his athletic trainer. It's funny that you don't even know what a biological passport is: athletes with that classification are tested weekly! Maybe starting to read the rulings and doing some research before writing could help you solve your existential problems. It's never too late to start a new life.
@virginiosalvi430Ай бұрын
Ignorance speaks here. His physiotherapist cut his finger and treated himself before giving massage to Sinner. That's why he got the unrelevant one billionth gram, which clearly leads to no improvement. But you blatant haters are here just to hate. The envy of the weak

Every time djokovic dominates a season (2011, 2015, 2016, 2023) the year after he slows down a bit to recover and doesnt win much. 2016 for example started off great than it caught up to him, and later in 2017 too. i expect novak to retire around 2027/2028 and win at least 2/3 grand slams and some masters titles. i’d bet he is gunning for monte carlo since its his last masters title he needs to win to achieve a mind-bogling triple golden masters. he also needs only 1 more roland garros to have at least 4 victories in all slams. dont count him out
@moaningpheromonesАй бұрын
It's really hard to say if he will win another GS event. You've got 2023 but then JS / CAA have risen up. If it goes his way with the draws and upsets, that could be what he needs in 2025 to add another one. Who knows? Could get two. He's got 24 and a full career, but there are still some great match and ATP longevity stats to play for.
@sidthiru1509Ай бұрын
outside of the US open , he actually didn't do bad in the slams, semis in A0 where he lost to a Sinner that was playing at an unbelievable level, he made quarter finals of RG that ended in injury, so he may or may not have progressed further. He still made the final of Wimbledon just weeks after surgery and won Olympic gold. So until I see him consistently lose in the first week of a slam I won't say he's 'done', but yes the end is near and technically the big 3 era ended when Roger retired.

I love the enthusiasm from Novak fans. I felt the same way when Fed lost to Hurcakz in 2021. *he had knee surgery in 2016, he’ll be back!* Yea… he was back to Centre Court. In a suit. Novak isn’t as injured as Fed was-presumably-but that was 3 years ago. Jannik and Carlos are approaching the inevitable victory power Roger and Rafa had in 2005,2006,2007,2008 Any no way anyone has an answer for that in Bo5 unless we playin Time Machine Tennis and zapping in guys from 15 years ago…
@stephensurry3416Ай бұрын
Also: the Novak commentary here and elsewhere reminds me of how casual Serena fans reacted anytime she lost to those kids 6-7 years ago: Naomi, Andreescu, etc The reputation of Serena preceded her, but those shocks Serena fans hadn’t actually watched her tennis earlier in the season, and were blindsided by her loses. Good enough to beat the field, but nothing for the eventually champion. Federer was there. Nadal was there. Sadly, Novak has reached there now. Food for thought, kids. At the least we can’t also lie to ourselves…
