Great cast, very interesting match, especially ayyubids player's build.

They backtracked from Mangonels / Nests of Bees changes. They still have tracking and have higher ranged resistance now, while their only counter has been removed. Springalds sniper duels absolutely had to go long ago, but cavalry is still useless versus bodyblocked siege.

I can't believe that they getting rid of dry arabia in ranked map pool. That map is the reason I play this damn bad rng game. The other day I was playing mongols in hill and dale, cuz of good trade. Guess what? back of my base full of trees, you can't run through the back... 60-70% of times my gold is in front, while enemies gold is in the back. Rocky river most times have all sheep in one area, if u manage to do the run right, you pick up 16+ sheep in 2 mins. and last but not least. Lipany is the most base camping, base building sim strategy map ever made, you literally need 150-200 wood to lock down half the map from entering your base. P.s good that Goerge will be gone. I totally hate that thing, the map doesn't offer any diverse play, like arabia did for example.

As you play better than I do (i never get pass Diamond 1 I think), I thought you are very experienced in the game and RTS. But in fact, I learned the game in more or less the same time as you do, and just in slightly lower level than you do. (I can't get pass Diamond 1, but never unable to get back to Diamond 1 in solo)

Interesting to watch, I never considered you could still have the advantage upon your opponent if your army age II was greater in number and better technologically equipped

1. I personally only watch casted games on daily uploads. Especially love ones with "unknown" top players like in this video. 2. The stuff you stream on twitch, why are they not on the "videos" tab on twich. It's empty. I ain't got twich lol. Things that are streamed though, I like just listening to them as audio as I sleep haha. 3. Bro fr buy the book Sun Tzu Art of War. It will improve your gameplay a lot! The book is only ~60 pages. There is a reason those training videos in the AoE4 games are called "Art of War"

I am Abba main as well. How you deal with this combo is to make mangonels. It's easier when he fully commits to just camel archers. You make 3-4 and push his base with rams. You can use maa or something like that and put it behind your siege and let them so the work. Castles will also help to control the movement of the enemy. It's like wit mangudai, you have to close trade and or base. See it like fast crossbows. AB Abba I also can play with 100 age 3 archers or fully uograded once. It will eventually trade better but Iu need a secent mass. Best is to get mangos out that will hurt them alot. Make 3 or 4 so Out can almost one shot them or DMG alot. I. A lot of people think this is a fighting game. It's really a scouting, macro, micro game. If you don't scout well it's only random chance you have the right strategy and right counter units. If you don't macro well (including spending your resources) you can't put as many units on the field. Last, if you don't micro well you can have your perfect counter units (eg. spears vs horses) eaten up by your opponents counter units (archers counter your spears). You can easily get to gold status simply by having a good building order and decent macro but to get beyond that you need to scout well, macro more efficiently and micro decently.

im curious to know how you have a 50% win rate in diamond. i have also seen a top 10 leader board player with a 60% win rate. i have a 57-60% win rate and im still in gold.

Lots of things others mentioned like attacking production building instead of landmarks. But also try not to fight under the enemy TC if you can avoid it. Doesn't seem like much but it really does a lot of damage to your army over time. Especially to unarmored units like the one's you have in feudal. Getting the ranged armor upgrade early also helps a lot.

Just kiting. You should always make 2tc on abba. Anyway your eco is much better than Japanese eco. Against castle rushing civs you have to age up to castle as well. Samurai are weak against crossbows keep it in mind. Especially mass. You don’t want to stay in one place when samurai are on you… big mistake. They are slower than archers. Harassing with horsemen great idea you did good damage. With camel archers sure you could stay in feudal however it’s not great as you will have to continue doing them otherwise you will lose .

I think you did fine. The only thing I would have done different is to not engage the samurai so early to preserve your units. You only had one counter to them and it was the camel archer so I probably would have tried kiting them with my archers to draw them away from the middle of the map and moved my horses around to harass (he would likely have just brought them back to the base to defend) and waited a minute or two for a handful of camel archers to be ready to engage.

One thing i learned in a fight i had against this same civilization you just played against (i lost) is that hitting landmarks pre 10 minutes takes way too much time and allows them to build their army up and get ahead. it took 2 minutes for your one ram to bring it down to almost dead and didn't even take it out. i prefer to target military buildings and economic buildings to deny the enemy from building their army back, because if he managed to protect himself from your rush, it would have been gg since it takes forever for your army to build back up for another push.

I've been thinking the same thing since I took up the game last year. I'd like to see another designation for those over a certain threshold, be it top 100 or 2000 elo or whatever it is. The name could be many things like Paladin, King, Champion, Master etc. It would be a goal to shoot for at the top of the game just like going from Silver to Gold is for average players.
