@@o-fishal9651 In Germany we say: "Petri Heil" to wish a fisherman good luck. (The blessing of the fisherman and apostle peter - petros.) And the fishermans answer is "Petri Dank!". (Peters thanks). Is it similar in Oregon? Which catchphrase do u use?

From what I understand, there is, but the lake does drain into a sinkhole during the summer, I believe, so the fish either disappear or the lake just doesn’t drain fully. I can’t quite remember

Wow. That’s really sad. I never would’ve known that it was that bad over in that area of the country. Brookies aren’t Native here, but they sure are one of my favorite fish because of how beautiful they are and they can get quite a bit bigger than the ones I was catching. Hopefully, I can go out and do this kind of fishing again and get some bigger ones!

Most of the time I try to mention that stuff, but I definitely do want to make my content more informative. More fly fishing is definitely a need. But at the same time, I have to give the viewer information without giving away too much (i.e my fishing spot😂) but it’s not like I’m worried about you taking my fishing spot or anything, so I will definitely have to fill you in on more details about my upcoming trips haha

Just wondering what’s been going on out that way for fishing. Don’t get out towards prineville and the ochocos much and heard it’s growing up quick. Wondering if fishing on the reservoirs and rivers is better or worse or bout the same.

I don’t have a ton of information on that area, however, I was fishing near there about 6 months ago and did pretty good and filmed quite a bit of content from that trip altogether. We were near the John Day until the very end of the trip, which was when we went to a small lake in the Ochocos.

This was up at Little Lava Lake near the head of the Deschutes River
