Very educational. I’m deep diving into my CG messing around with other gear and it’s really fun and intuitive. One thing I cannot wrap my head around about what you are doing here is how are you receiving midi from the J6 when you have both rTRN and rCLK set to OFF on the CG? 🤔

Good question! I didn’t demonstrate what “transport” and “clock” actually do. I probably need to do another tutorial on that. Transport is only the MIDI start/stop signal. GC can send transport to other sequencers and tell them to start/stop. GC can also be told be external MIDI gear to start/stop. Clock signals send tempo to other devices. GC can send its internal tempo to another device via clock send. GC can also have its tempo controlled by an external MIDI device via the receive clock settings. I hope this makes sense!
