Sounds great!!! The guitarist in my band has one and it looks very cool. However, to me it looks like an overkill for a bassist. Do you think there is a lot of difference with the Cortex Nano? Thanks
@ZlatoyarBass9 күн бұрын
@@raphaeldukhan in Nano Cortex you have special bloc of effects you’re stuck with, you can’t change the order and the type of effect. But it’s super small and if you have “basic needs” it’s fine, but using Quad Cortex your abilities are almost limitless

@@ZlatoyarBass Thank you very much for the response. Got you!! By the way, I'm a big fan of SOEN, and you're doing a phenomenal job there (an at all!! 🙂). Keep going the good vibes!!!

I own the QC since almost two years now. Never had such an consistent sound, all FoH guys were happy. It might be overkill, but if you play in different bands with different needs, the QC is perfect. Or if you are playing in a cover band. And its way smaller than a pedalboard wich can do it all, als cheaper in the long run. Don’t get me wrong, I love my pedals and my pedalboard, but those are staying at home now. Sure, just a preamp is working fine as well. If that’s the case for you, go for it. But if you need flexibility, go with the QC :-)

There is a lot you can do with multiple lines. You can blend clean and effected signals, reroute compressor, drives, octavers, etc. And then of course your stompbox and scene modes.

Hace poco di con esta banda... Mucha influencia de tool, a perfect circle... Y la línea de bajo que tiene este tema en la Estrofa esta muy genial... Ocupas algún pedal como Darkglass para sacar ese sonido? O es solo el bajo?

How would you rate this in comparison to the Kingston Super 5 in terms of playability? I'm really fond of the asymmetric neck and the zero fret.
@ZlatoyarBassАй бұрын
@@johangericke1492 it is nice! Overall much lighter than any other bass I’ve ever owned. The neck is something between U and C shape, but fortunately I have pretty big hands and long fingers so I can’t say I experience very dramatic comfort situations, but of course the asymmetrical profile is a privilege. Otherwise it’s very easy to play after you got used to the multiscale. I started to play this bass straight during the live shows, on tour, so the transition was very fast and it was smooth! Anyway, different beasts but both very comfy 🙌🏻

Thankfully, Matteo is willing to put in a zero fret if you ask for it. This is a great review, I'm glad to see his instruments getting better recognition.
