Here’s my opinion on this. Half of these rappers out here don’t write or freestyle their own stuff. They have ghost writers and they can “recite” that that’s all they have to do. a lot of singers also have writers too, but here is the thing, if you can’t sing, then you just can’t sing. It’s easier to be a rapper.

@@bashthestampede2360 People consider people like Eazy E, Dre, Drake to be legends. They’ve had people write for them. If a song comes out, and you can recite it perfectly , then even you and I can be good rappers. For singers, their talents are in their ability to actually sing well. And if they can’t sing, so much more has to be done in order for them sound good and for their songs to succeed. You can be the worst rapper in the world and still be successful

@@jaqhil91 I’m with you but people still bring up ghostwriters and their greatness supersedes the bars. I rap too and part of it is making sure my pen is my own. Dre is known for things outside of his own music and idk that much about Eazy but I do know that Ice Cube carried that group. Obviously Drake is a different story entirely. None revered like the rappers who write their own lyrics though

@@bashthestampede2360 I understand and respect that. But I have family member who are in the industry both on the rap side and singing side. But it adds to my point. To be a good singer, you have to sing good. There’s no getting around that. You don’t have to be a good rapper to be a successful rapper. For the ones who are good, great! But we both can name quite a few horrible rappers who are big.
