I love these alternative lyrics. I have a personal theory. I don't know anyone but i do know artist types. I have seen "creative" "processes" where two members constantly override one, especially if Bill Ward is really as laid back as he seems. Ozzy is not stupid. But he was told that his whole life. He never learned how to learn. But he sure learned to survive. So what if these are not Ozzy being too blitzed to remember the song, but Ozzy is trying one last time to at least get his version of the lyrics on tape. He seems to have kept lots more than has been released.

There are many ways to present a good composition in something better. A good approach would be less guitars, more pitch, more tonality, but a different text is surely the dumbest of all ideas to improve this composition. Why is there no way to get two thumbs down.

I respectfully disagree that Ozzy is responsible for the heaviness of Black Sabbath but rather go along with the consensus that it's because Iommi chopped off his fingertips and had to use very light strings so Butler put very heavy strings on his bass to make up

Cool to hear this take of Ozzy's which is different from the record, especially toward the end. Little known, but the "spooky" Black Sabbath introduced to the world via their 1970 debut was a MANUFACTURED product that the band themselves knew absolutely nothing about, as per Tony Iommi. They'd done the sessions quickly and forgotten about them, and weren't even aware an album was being released. They knew nothing about the cover or the creepy prose inside the British gatefold; the entire presentation was engineered by Vertigo without any band awareness or input. When they heard on the radio that a band called Black Sabbath had made the charts, they initially thought it was another group using the same name until they heard themselves and realized it was "that session" they'd forgotten about. And thus Black Sabbath were officially born. The truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

Can’t imagine they were TOO surprised by the “spooky” image, seeing as how they called the band Black Sabbath and did two separate songs about the devil in the same session.

Oh man. How edgy! You must be super tough. I bet all the women love you, but they just act like they don’t because they don’t know how to act around someone so strong and powerful. I mean, what’s cooler than having a heat stroke because you want to look like Anton Levey when it’s 100 degrees out in your badass leather and boots? Well, technically I guess that would be “hot”, not cool, harharhar. That’s why I always wear flip flops in the winter. Wearing clothes that are wrong for the season proves I’m a non-conformist, my parents don’t understand me.
