I am writing a project paper on the generation of magma, types of volcanic eruptions and their related landforms. But I am confused by the various classification systems of volcanic eruptions. I can't decide which classification system should I included in the paper. The classification systems that are used in my university are pretty old. I would like to improvise on that. But with the resource limitations that my university have, I don't know what to included in my paper especially about the classification of volcanic eruptions.

Carbon dating has been proven very very very misleading along with all the others.

What an awesome episode.. good info. I'm a rockhound and my perfect sample size is about the size of my fist. Something that's not too big too carry a few of them but big enough you can see all the characteristics clearly. An episode I would love to see is a discussion about quartz and covering what conditions cause it to form as chalcedony, chert, etc.

So much better without audio waveform. I would like to ask about the true meaning of morphology in geology terms. Is just the landforms and topography? or included more? I confused by online explanations of morphology. They included like sediment distribution. (ocean basin morphology)

Morphology is the study of shape, so we in Geology use it for anything that refers to shape or form - like grain shapes, river shapes, landscape forms, ocean floor structures, etc!

I listen to these episodes on Spotify but I do enjoy the videos. Just some constructive criticism, and this is just my personal adhd brain, but I find the audio waveform at the bottom of the video very distracting. I will continue to watch if you dont fix it, just some feedback. Rock on!

Thanks for the feedback and we certainly don't want it to be distracting!!

Bucketlist item! I went and saw Lincoln caverns in Huntingdon and Indian Echo Caverns in Hummelstown and I'm obsessed with caves now. This came out just in time!
