You have to use a stronger more firm tone. He isn't listening because u don't change your tone at all . You have to show dominance with heelers.

+1. Super training regimen! The Portie is a smart hundt to be sure. Great training outcome. Man, I'm wishing Sarasota, FL was closer to Vail, CO. as our daughter is in line for her very own Portie. You gotta see our Ms. Lilly sit and stay in the Frankfurt Main airport; she's not moving until called. "Kennel up Lilly" and its another flight. PWD's are super hundt's! .. Great training OLK9

Jeff, thanks again for working with Blue! He has become a well-mannered dog with the exception of being excited in the presence of other dogs, however, it has been SO nice to be able to control him with less aggravation by using the OLK9 techniques. Placing Blue in the board and training program was our last resort and happy to say it was money well spent.

Porties tend to have strong bonds with their Alpha person..with my Portie, I was her Alpha. She would wag her tail when she saw people and allowed pats, but always returned to me. She crossed the rainbow bridge 3 months ago and I miss her everyday.

Hi! I’ve been searching my butt off for videos like this to train my blue Heeler Luna, shes 5 months old. She only knows sit as of right now, but I’m hoping to train her to be just like this video. This is my first pup so I really don’t know anything about training, and I don’t want to train her with treats. I hope you see this! I would appreciate some tips if you could!

Can you link some of the procedures to train him please, I was gifted a blue heeler puppy and he knows how to sit and lay but that's pretty much it. He is 4 months now and want to train him to be like this one in the video. Also this is my first puppy ever so I have no experience whatsoever and I can already see that it will take a lot patience and time and consistency but I just need some tips on drills to actually get started. Thank you for this awesome video by the way.

Well, I'm certainly impressed big time!! Great job! My porty is a sweetheart with a lovely disposition. Still, she could really use a lot more training and/or refresher, such as the heel command and staying in place with or without distraction. Anyway, I can imagine how much work went into training this porty, clearly you know how to bring out the best in a dog.
