What coaches next year can we get, like I feel like there are upgrades sitting out there right now. Vrabel would be top my list I’d run Pederson if Jags fire him (I think it’s more the GM’s fault over there than his) Flores Ben Johnson? I’m trying to think of others but that’s a solid candidate pool just right there

My biggest worry is this is similar to 2022 all over again. We have an uber talented QB that is setup to fail with a confusing scheme that does not compliment the run and pass to one another. The QB makes an impressive play and then some horrible run plays to put him behind the stick on 3rd and 10+. If this continues Flus will be fired.

I was at that Bears vs Saints game in 2019. Brees and Kamara were out. That was such a bad game I fell asleep in the first quarter and didn’t wake up untill C Pat ran that kick off back for a touchdown. I swore off going to games after that ( I didn’t stick to it).

I legitimately came into this season looking for Caleb/Rome development and hoping for good defensive play, improved D-line play from the likes of Dexter, Booker and a step forward for Brisker and Gordon... This whole "Caleb is gonna instantly be NFL Jesus" stuff was a media invention to me and laughable. Nick Wright is usually wrong and his takes aren't meant to be taken seriously. That all said, seeing the seeds start to bloom at the moment is cool and I just hope things stay on a positive trajectory against LA at home. 1-2 is better than 0-3 and the Bears are talented but poorly coached. The defensive line got exposed on the run, IMO by the Colts and that's something to look at for this next game against an alright o-line and great back in Kyren Williams. The Bears o-line did improved work in pass pro overall against a horrid Indy rush but it may get tougher so improvements are likely to still be needed. Tevin was still woeful and is a big concern. Shelton is still dreadful and gives me headaches just thinking about his blocking. Swift might be the most underwhelming starter in the NFL, and cant even live up to his own name. Rome is improving his chemistry with Caleb, but something is off between CW and DJ. I don't get it and it's a big problem they need to fix soon. Like they've been playing a bunch now and still aren't even close to the same page. Not to mention Hardy's ST penalty and Matt's Eberflubs with timeouts were massive deflaters. The fact that Caleb showed good and accurate touch deep with Rome and on the TD fade, plus his accuracy to Kmet, shows me a lot of the deep accuracy issues are not only fixable, but actively being fixed as long as the skill players work with him to build more of a rapport, get in phase and timing with the QB instead of sulking on the sidelines after a misfire. The passing offense is improving BUT the run needs to be a factor immediately. It won't be perfect or even great right away but I am even more confident it will be great. We have a QB in Chicago, we just need to support him!

I think that going into this year, we needed to see the team do better than last year. I went into the year saying that we needed +1 wins from last year to call it a successful year, considering you would have thought that the team had improved at a bunch of positions on the roster. I am not changing that opinion just because we started the season 1-2.

As much as I want to win now and have Caleb/Rome play well, I can settle on a 6-11 season with the QB showing he’s the guy and Rome is solid. I like Flus a lot, good guy; but we need an innovative mind next year. I hope Poles knows that and is already looking

From a season outlook, it's really disappointing that despite adding more talent this team feels worse. But I can't help feeling optimistic that the Bears just asked their QB to throw it 50 times in a game, and it wasn't a disaster. If they come out of this season, knowing that they've found their franchise QB to build around, that's still a successful season in my mind. Even if it means changing HC.

🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃I think 6 wins or less should be an easy decision to move on. 7-9 wins is still probably a spot where I would move on, 10 wins is safe. I'm surprised at how poorly Shane Waldron looks, but if anything I think that's even more accusing of Eberflus.

It's funny that my main concern isn't Caleb or Rome, it's Shane Waldron. I truly don't understand what this guy is doing. He comes out, week after week, with the Carter/Everett/shotgun run show and THAT. IS. NOT. WHAT. THIS. TEAM. IS. Lol. Slants to Moore, over the middle to Kmet, run the ball with Roschon under center. These are the plays that work and they feel like the exception rather than the rule with his play calling. It's totally tone deaf.

Caleb aint it bro. Yea, rookie mistakes and all that, but situational awareness and winning mentality aint something you just learn and become elite at after you get to the NFL. Its what seperates solid players from the elite greats and you have the foundation of it before you even step on an NFL field. Elite arm talent but without those things hes just a short Jameis Winston. If the coaches are basically forfeiting the season and coaching him to just sling it around the field and learn NFL speed without caring about playing situationally sound football, thats one thing, but if this is how his mindset actually is and hes truely trying to win, he is never going to be a great QB.

There were a lot of issues and mistakes to go around. Yet, if they don't figure out how to run the ball, none of that really matters. It is the root of their problems.

I actually feel better after today than I have in the two previous weeks. Caleb Williams' game to game improvements have been very impressive. I wonder if Waldron keeps running with Swift, or if he starts going to RoJo to actually give Caleb some help on the ground. He's not the best in the league or anything, but he's obviously RB1 for the Bears. Swift is averaging 1.8 ypc and that's inflated from that one 20 yard run in game 1.

Jibby if you SERIOUSLY think the defense getting 2 turnovers (should’ve been 3) and giving up only 21 points is a horrible performance… sorry but you don’t know ball Especially b/c that 3rd TD was only b/c Waldron decided to leave Kmet (I think) on an island vs Laiatu Latu. If you can’t stop hating for no sane reason, get the F out of the fanbase. We don’t need your toxicity

Tyson not being QB1 is so stupid. His cerebral long drive ball control style + a dominant defense (which stays dominant because the QB stays on the field and keeps them fresh) is literally the perfect combo to dominate in this era of the NFL where explosive plays are being shut down by defenses and pass rushes are too good to where throwing it deep a lot just isn't optimal any more (Even Mahomes has the 2nd shortest YPA this season and doesn't really throw deep any more). But of course the Bears are going to F it up and keep chasing for physical freak QBs when the true franchise QB and future best QB in Bears history if the front office can get their heads out of their A's, is the GENIUS MENTAL FREAK QB in BAGENT. If we trade Bagent next year and he becomes a superstar on another team, im F'in done with this franchise.

It was obvious this would happen. I saw more 12-5 online predictions I could count, and now after one loss, the same people are filled with doom. Been a fan since 1979 and it's best to hope for the best but expect the worst. I predicted 9-8 this year and still think that's about right. Win/loss doesn't even matter as long as they improve throughout the year and can compete with the powerhouse teams late. The Bears are making other teams look ugly and will hang around in games.

i must say, you guys said both 4000 yards and beating 30TD ect ect, pre season, cause this was soposed to be the best ever QB in chi, and what we have been shown for now, is below avg from even a Basic NFL starter, So much air mail he could charge for it. and under over throws wrong cadence and timings. SO i think you might be reading too much X cause the ppl that blames the Oline is all them from last season with defending fields now defending caleb with the same narratives of oline And HC , center , last seaons was the snap now its him being pancaked, and Now walderon instead of getzy. and what happened when bagent took over, one homegame win first in 17 games, ??? oline fine or better , rungame fine, no sacks.. ect ect bears need a boost of good plays , they are all jaded now ibet from all the hype dying down and caleb not preforming slightly good., and caleb need to stop doing hero ball, and take the checkdowns and clear free TD ect tbh we can talk about being more positive When caleb shows us something to be positive about other that one look here and there, but no need to be dooming either yet. , cause is really the same story from last year just with a Caleb ib there no fields, some might say its even worse, i get its small errores here and there for some plays, BUT they need to be there or the play is a bust in NFL, you need more accurate throws. , that its the defence that safes the day like last season , . this time with caleb there just even more bad stuff than with fields not releasing the ball. in the End its Caleb with the ball , on the 2nd note, our running game not even working will also make caleb seems worse, cause now he is in do or die more as its all on him.
