PlanetGary, How does it work, cycling through the farmers field on the dirt trail through the field of barley crops, I'm surprised there's a zone in there tbh, do we Turfers have RTR access, I am in learning mode, btw, I'm not a bot 😅😂 Arnsturf#

Hi Jacqueline, The zones are located along the field edge and while there is a path of sorts it's difficult to cycle along. The Scottish Outdoor Access Code allows us to cycle along an existing path or track. The tram lines left by the tractor are clearly tracks and we don't damage the crop that way. It does give us the Right To Roam but just about anywhere (with certain restrictions and some common sense) but not across growing crops. The point where I walked across the crops did not leave any damage. Hope you are enjoying turfing!

As i've said, just drop off HQ off at the shop (i'll hang her up out the road) and take my SS out for a spin. Runs 29x2.4 front 29x2.3 rear, I think 34/19t I'd have to check. Just under 12kg... If you need a frame of reference. 👍 Yeh, don't use that path in summer. Stung to bits with shorts on. Not fun. Ran 700x35 Schwalbe Rapid Rob on my Scott Sub Speed 20, nothing you couldn't do but... it was 60psi to avoid the pinch flatting on roots and boulders. Tread would wear fairly quick, Now i'd consider Smart Sam all day every day. Fantastic intermediate tyres.

I suspect Prestonholm was ment to be SouthEskBside maybe? I took Prestonholm Mill last night on the Rigid tour bike. Very bumpy! EDIT: There is some ye-oldie bike shops out there. My Self, BG Cycles, Berwick Law Cycles, i-Cycles etc.. This is why i try to interact with customers outside of the business, go cycling with customers. I jut enjoy seeing them out riding and seeing my work win races etc. It's cool 😁 Sadly i'll never been a millionaire cause I'd rather just sell customers what they need at reasonable prices.

Took EquinoxZone back from you this morning as a break on the commute, my handsssssssssss were so cold I had to put them under my arm pits! There is a video on MuttsCycles Channel of my shop window this morning from the inside. "Beatles" is on my commute, I swear to god that Old St Davids section has it's own climate. It's always vastly colder inside the walled section. Since January 14th 2022, usually you, Pedro, Ross or sometimes the Inquistor are my main rivals for the zone. Warded: You have taken this zone 134 times! On average one takeover has given you 85 points and 144 takepoints which adds up to 28 696 in total. 18:10 Fatbiking I had a passing interest in but the Pugsley On Patrol videos helped cultivate it more. It was cool to see a Fatbike going in places i'd normally cycle (Edgelaw was my first POP video and it also Hungry Lucy - Bumble). I think the POP videos deserve more views. Turf was originally Fearglas popping in but forgot the name and I was mega busy at the time. Then you popped in and talked about it. Been nearly a year. January 14th Kick Scooting was a couple who got Yedoo 2016's that they asked me to Build. I then contact Yedoo and now have a B2B with them. However I had seen your Swifty I guess there is some part that is influenced my choice to buy a kick Scoot. 19:09 You can keep the brick collecting habit though. I have enough hobbies 🤣

Funny, I cold tootsies too. I bought some AlpineStars Morino Wool socks (I get them trade price :) ). They help a little but it's not getting blood to your feet unlike walking. Some time I just get of and walk for a mile and at least half of that is questioning if my feet are still attached cause I can't feel them walking!! As for radiator boots, yup the heat dries the leather and it cracks. i never put shoes on radiators sometimes i'll fold a towel several times over put that on the radiator then the boots on top so they get warm air. I have a recomendation for video btw. The Cast > Sprinfield mill (history) > Mavisbank (history) > Kevock Bank (Lasswade Viaduct) > Wee Brae (Casue it's c**t of a hill).... Some good talking points, I'd do it but I work when it's light at this time of year and i don't like talking on camera, i'd talk if i have too but you are far more eloquent with words than I. lol. On a side, note. I'd love to see a petition to open up Lasswade Viaduct as a walkway. I need to look into local petitions. Edit: Harry and Megan? What's happening with those two, I pay so little attention. I noticed you took the zones at the golf course but missed out others i though you take if you'd if u were cycling.... This explains it I've been using my Single speed a lot so i've been missing zones that are slushy or up hill where i have to almost stand full weight on the pedals :) With the neutrals, I start out to work in the dark and finish in the dark so some times motivation to turf after work is low.. roll on spring!!

In some ways your approach to your videos have changed (no music), but your eye for composition is as good as ever. I had been under the impression that you had ceased making videos. But I went to check out the Pugsley On Patrol site and found (to my delight) Planet Gary. Your earlier videos are what inspired me to get a fatbike, to start exploring the little traveled country back roads in my area. Thanks for that. Except for a few others here, there are not many fatbike around anymore, sad to say; because mine has taken me over terrain NO other bike can go. Those two shots with the close turbine then the shot of it further away in distance, should be proud of those. Both are really good captures. Hi Scott, thanks for the comment. No worries about following my route. Zones are free to all for taking. Interesting about the homeless dude, I didn’t know that. Yes, the path. Go it at the metal sculptures into Elginhaugh Gardens, the path starts at the bottom right-hand corner, beside the house with the Range Rover and Bentley in the drive. That’s the posh houses estate beside Dandara building site. The sign posts direct you to follow the lower trail but it goes through a swamp and can be rather wet. Better to keep high and left then drop down again. The metal sculptures are hares. I think I’ll buy you a pocket guide to Scottish wildlife. 😊

@@muttscycles3435 The climbing stuff. Been a few years now, I think. It's the owner of Adam Smith house that obstructs the path. There's Keep Out signs up near King's Acre as well. Another great video Gary. Ha! I very much hope that person who turned their GPS of wasn't me ;) Doubt it, I leave mine on the whole time i'm out. I've noticed a few people do it. I guess the more socially awkward ones and those that feel unsafe with strangers knowing where they are might turn off between zones. Also if they have expensive bikes it could make them a target but doubt it as not enough people play turf to worry about dodgey folk on it ha ha. I'd love to blog about it or vlog about it. KZbin can be harsh though so i tend keep my self behind the camera. I'd love a GoPro Hero 10 but there is always something i need to buy over and above a new video camera i.e. new RTX 3070 for the cuda, hoping for faster render times. then a new Deore XT brake for my 29+ etc.. Blogging, I'm a terrible speller, with dyslexia I tend to think i've typed words when i haven't and read it back it makes no sense. :) Time always against me with the shop being a Ball and chain. I'm gonna get 3 zones 2-3pm, might take the 12: 01 tonight if you or other turfers have taken the church outside mine. HA! i'm also a bias EX-IT person who doesn't do apple either :)

I have had similar problems with dog walkers as you with horse riders :). I have been reading your Turf blog for a while and since you you seem to have a lot of cool Turfing "tools". Maybe you should take a look at this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6LWlaiVod2anqM. Would that not be the perfect tool for those longer Turf sessions? Anyway keep bloging best regards from Turfer: Ojarnstr

Hi Ojarnstr, an interesting idea. Might be worth looking into. I could design and build something like that.

HI Scott, yes, system still processing the different versions. Hope you don't mind the faults. Lots of room for improvement.

@@planetgary9992 Ha! You and I have spoke to the same horse riders. I laughed out loud at that comment, 100% on the access. I ride that section and 100% courteous to the horse riders but still get abuse. I considered sneaking over the fence at the A1 couple of days ago (Monday i think cause it was a new round) to get YouAreAce but i don't like to bother the Golfers too much and i was on the fatty, I can't hide easy :) At the old wood I admit I ride down that way on the bike but i always stick to paths. I think Path erosion has more to quadrupling of visitors to the park (probably more) and the sheer amount of foot fall vs bikes being an issue. But bikes are an easy target for an excuse. On a side note. I had a heart attack on that bridge in 2015, cycling home from work (back when i worked at PC World Kinnaird). It's what prompted me to switch jobs to something i enjoy :) Good to see in the tower, i've taken i think 3 times. Normally come from Miller hill into the park. Anyway, good video. Happy to see you back filming.

I'm hoping this happens again. I was working so hard to get my shop viable the last 5 years I've just never had time for these things. I love to ride with other fat bikers. I've met a few now including your self Garry and Bruce, it's a community i'd like to invest time in. #MuttsCycles some of you may know me from the bike shop in Nitten.
