Really enjoyed the video, gave me some ideas for around here to work the horses on slow days. Thank you for the patience it took to film all that.

if your horse isnt trained to do something dont expect ehm to do it!! it seemd like the horse didnt really know what back up was and the side passing is heartbreaking because you guys are confusing this horse and making him frustrated

This girl didn’t know how to side pass, two track, nor side step which would have been easy to help her instead of reaching out to grab the obstacle. She also didn’t use her left hand which in many competitions is a must. She did use it a few times but not the whole time. And even though the horse needed more training on side passing the rider should know how to do it PROPERLY. She also let her horse rush through most of the obstacles and didn’t let her horse smell them before doing them 😤😡🤦♀️ She ALSO pulled back with her reins most of the time whilst turning

is that horse pregnant or overweight? And why the huge bit. The horse is so well behaved and soft. It deserves a softer bit and some damn release when it does a good job.

exactly and i ffel like the rider doesnt know enough to ride that horse

She seems like a jerk to her horse. No rewarding and very little patience.

What a setup you have! Everything looks quite straightforward... “but that water pit is something else man!! What a brave horse seeing it doesn’t have a proper foundation put on it, which really showed when asked to sidepass (?) Another great thing to do is; “straddle over a pole”... Something that can be quite difficult training a horse to do, but a great exercise. “Awesome” 🐎🐎

I like how several of the obstacles encouraged the horse to pay greater attention to where he's placing his feet (never would've thought about the mattresses-kinda brilliant, that). Yeah, the rider should be wearing a helmet. No excuse for that anymore. Cool obstacle course 😊👌🐴.

I could tell that the horse was frightened by the balloons and hurt itself on the gravel tires, if you were you ride your horse on this, it needs ankle braces
@davawyatt22348 жыл бұрын
Most of these obstacles appear to be relatively easy to set up, which is good for all people who want to desensitize their horses but only have certain or limited resources on hand. Plenty of inspiring ideas and if your horse freaks, the materials are potentially horse-proof, so if they get knocked down or around nobody is going to get hurt and no ruined materials.

My favorites? The rattlesnake tarp, tube/pipe drag, balloon pop, flags standing up in hay bales, variety of gravel tires, flapping camouflage tarps, and 2-by-4 board on barrel. Things that make noise, "chase" the horse, require stepping up and down, going through and past noisy moving objects, and need precise guiding of the horse. Great all-around preparation.

This would be ok for little kids but totally boring course for adults & on flat ground. Should be called how much can a horse put up with while walking
@pchaynes8 жыл бұрын
Very creative use of tires and some great obstacles. A bit of overkill on the assorted noodle and tarp obstacles but doesn't hurt of course. I really like the back through being LARGE enough. Great water obstacle. Might try and put some rocks or logs on the mound of dirt. I also like the tire walkovers, they look very safe. Definitely wished I lived close enough to check it out but alas, it's probably a 2000 mile drive.

I don't ride western but wouldn't it be easier for the horse if the rider when into half seat, jumping position or 2 point position when they went over the small jumps and poles. I think it would have been a lot nicer on the horses back it didn't look to thrilled going over them
@LisadeKramer8 жыл бұрын
+Olivia D No you do not need to on such low jumps but you do need to know how to ride it properly.
@dennetofferman3718 жыл бұрын
The horse is asked very much and does his/ her part to do it well. Yet, do don't see him/her rewarded not once from the rider. But for the rest I do think this place is great. Very beneficial.
@tierrawilliams66908 жыл бұрын
well that's how you train a horse is by reward, once it has mastered something you reward less and less, so they don't stop doing that when not rewarded, that's how horses become treat sour. however I'm sure she praises by patting, but sense they were videoing they probably wanted to demonstrate. so patting them on something they did many times before starting the video would be unnessicary

@dennetofferman3718 жыл бұрын
