@@MindyLou First it is that it was "marked up to the moon," and then when we pointed out that in fact wasn't the case, we get slammed cause sticker price isn't good enough either? Look, we hear you about new vehicle prices, but we don't set those prices - the manufacturer does. And we NEVER sell above sticker because that's not who we are. Doesn't matter if the market is good or bad. It stinks that a lot of places do use shady maneuvering and manipulation. You don't have to believe us, though we hope that you might at least understand that we are small, family-owned Ford dealership in rural Ohio - and that we can't afford to jerk people around and be icky because we rely on repeat business. A lot of people trust dealerships and we're not talking about just us. We're sorry if you've had a bad experience elsewhere.

I wouldn't go to this dealer if it was the last Ford dealer on Earth. Guy blaming customer for not maintaining the car, then found out the nut backed off because manufacturer didn't secure it properly.

I agree that changing the oil is the up most important thing you can do on a hot as hell turbo engine. However, what in the hell would that have to do with nut backing out?

Guy was doing typical dealer service shit - making claims that customer messed up instead of finding out the real problem, which he later did, as a manufacturing defect.

Is this damage from too long of interval between oil changes, or, because they should have used 5w40, or 5w30 oil??

Sadly ford in the owners manual recommends 10k mile intervals and average people go by their oil life monitor and usually this happens from neglected maintenance but I don't think that's what happened in this case. On these engines I'd go 5k miles on an oil change cause turbos ain't cheap. Though the turbine nuts backing off probably was a manufacturing flaw and maybe they weren't torqued properly.

I understand about drain intervals. But what about using the wrong engine oil. 5w20 will probably destroy a turbocharger. Did the owner use 5w30, or 5w40 thanks@@brentneahring2797

The reason I would not buy a used eco boost is because drivers are dumb. You need to know how turbos work and how not to blow them up before blaming the manufacture.

Running up and down big hills can really raise the temperature of the engine oil. I was going up a big hill in Montana and my oil in my turbocharged engine got to 240 degrees. I always use 5w40 full synthetic in a turbocharged engine. I wonder if the engine oil was 5w20??

So dirty oil caused the nuts to both come off? Why does the built in oil life indicator say 9500-10000 between oil changers? I think it’s a quality problem or Ford can’t set the oil change interval correctly….. which is really a quality problem again.

Ford wants you to kill it since it will take longer than the warranty period for the extended oil change interval to kill the turbo, engine, etc. Guaranteed service down the road.

That's an issue for lot's of car brands, never change oil by manufacturers orders, do it slightly earlier especially with oil.

How will the UAW strike affect The Lovely Bride and me? Not at all, as already overpriced, poorly manufactured U.S. vehicles are off the table for us. IF we were in the market for a new vehicle, it would be a Japanese brand preferably actually produced in that country.

I will never buy from a place that tries to sell me something and doesn't list price, if I called every time I was interested in something to buy I would be out of time. I wish you dealers would be considerate of my time.

Noted. These were two custom-built units that were sold orders. Showing the price wasn’t a huge concern in this video.
