Very odd, considering you got a new adapter and new phone. I’d say the remaining variable is that there may be a problem with the mic itself.

Never put a case on my 14 Pro Max, because the phone's already massive, a case would turn it into a damn brick. When I sold it, the buyer couldn't even believe it was never protected by a case, it looked brand new. iPhones have come a long way in terms of durability and scratch resistance. My 16 Pro won't be in a case either!

Great review, thank you. Question for you on the mic gain dial. I recently purchased the Lark M2 combo and noticed the dial on the receiver to turn the gain turns very easily. I find myself changing the gain unknowingly. Is your unit the same way? Mine still clicks as you turn, but there is substantial play between clicks. Curious if this is normal or if I need to exchange mine. I haven't seen anyone comment on this in other reviews.

@@mattliller thanks. I’ve spoken to someone at Movo in customer service and traded emails as well. Hi Matt time no talk, diving deeper into Video Editing Programs, I have done research and I heard video you upload from original to KZbin is Highly Compressed to the point where quality will appear more degraded, For example, if required bitrate is optimal at 8000, you should add more bitrate to compensate for compression on upload , like 25k. Question - Does Camtasia or any other application allow custom bitrates for MP4? in 1080 and 4k? and the last question is 10bit video, the new Sony ZVE10 mark2, big advantage is 10bit video, but not all software supports it, how about Camtasia, hoping not to use DaVinchi Resolve, thanks again, hope you are having a great day.
@mattliller
@mattliller 26 күн бұрын
I think you're waaaayyy overthinking things at this point. I've been obsessed with the "make better KZbin videos" genre for the last 4 years, and not once have I come across anyone talking about changing/custom bitrate. It's never once crossed my mind. Yes, KZbin adds compression, but 99.99% of people will never notice it. On 10-bit color, it can be very helpful if/when you're skilled in color grading and log shooting, but again certainly not a dealbreaker or requirement to build a KZbin channel. I've never used Camtasia, but certainly FCPX (which I use) and Premier handle it well. Just get out there and create!!

I think the VMGII is a small step above the Movo. Sound quality is probably better, but the USBC functionality is a huge plus.

This has been super helpful. Thank you. In your example you had the other mic in the other room, so that the two mics couldn't "hear' each other. But, I have an issue when I use two wireless mics on two people standing next to each other and the sound from one mic crosses over into the other person's microphone. Later, when played back (as two tracks) it sounds echoey. Do you have any tips on how to deal with this during filming or in editing?

Glad I could help. The situation you describe is a trickier one. I think you’d need to do some post production EQ to try and remove the bleed-over from the other mic.
