My question has ALWAYS been what the people just out on the street thought with Hilter, Bimmler, and Ron Vibbentrop out there riding by on their bicycles. It's not like BBC back then would have closed the road and hired extras.

Fun Fact: Graham Chapman was a medical student before he turned to comedy. It makes me wonder if this was how he performed with the cadavers he was working on?

What a silly sketch, and to think that Graham Chapman is also the " General" would highly disapprove of this silly thing. One of my many favorites Well done Pythons!

It took me way too long to realise all the jokes where Eric Idle's character has a stupid name and people make cheap puns about it without him realising are callbacks to people making fun of his name.
After so many decades since I first saw this sketch it still make me laugh HARD.

Wow this is so clever hitting lots of political points. Nothings changed either, racist politicians (hitlers in disguise) preaching to the youth and uneducated claiming they aren’t racist “BUT” Then the bankers thinking these politicians would be good for the stock market Genius

hadn't seen this one, the operation had me going pretty good, the height of the operating table was a nice set up.
I don't think it was intended as such, but this is the PERFECT PARABLE for the present day, ESPECIALLY since the rise of social media: EVERYONE is so busy thinking they're Superman that no one can do simple things like fix a bicycle or tighten a screw. Read up on the Dark Ages, because if you don/'t ALL get over yourselves and learn to do things for yourselves, you are DOOMED

If this included the part after they throw water on John Cleese with all characters from the episode saying “No” after Terry Jones asks if anyone has anything else to say, this video would’ve been perfect. 👍

Palin talking through the accounts souns like a Chancellor of the Exchequer spouting endless facts and figures in Parliament in an attempt to confuse everyone. Except the difference is we dont actually hear the truth that the country's proft is, in today's money, 5p.

If one crosses Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition sketch with Emperor Palpatine of Star Wars giving his "fear leads to" speech: "Fear leads to surprise, surprise leads to ruthless efficiency, ruthless efficiency leads to a fanatical devotion to the Pope--and nice red unforms!"
