It wasn't just for the war. There were only 3% of Chicanos in universities. They were putting our boys in wood shop and mechanics. The girls in home economics. The schools were lousy, still are. They still leave us out of the history of the USA. It was bc decades of being marginalized. The Democrats still marginalize us, and the Democrats are taking our community backward. It was a huge movement. We even formed our own party. It was a civil rights movement. Don't try to make it anything else.

Yo cruce por sásabe, Sonora y camine tomando referencia la montaña bobokivari subí a ella y pase la noche para bajar y llegar a topawa donde pase otra noche y un nativo me raitio hasta Phoenix, viví ahí 11 años hasta regresar de nuevo a casa, hoy Siervo de Jesucristo, (renuncie arreglar papeles por el llamado a Servir a mi Dios) estoy agradecido con Dios me llevo y me trajo, bendiciones

me causa un sentimiento triste y agradable a la vez una nostalgia combinada con un temor asolador. Pues en el 2000, cruce por ese lugar, y los guías nos dejaron abandonados en medio del desierto, lo cual nos llevó algunos 4 días para llegar a un poblado

I knew a family with a ranch just outside Sasabe. I heard from another rancher that the cartel has murdered or run off 3,000 sassbe area residents. What the news doesn’t tell you. Wonder if my friend is still alive
