I built something similar and my wife was as excited as yours. But for me it works great providing remote indication of the capacitor position.

Brilliant. I´m building a GU81m amp, and will be using motor control for the pi filter. I will hovewer have it remote / preset tuned, so will have an arduino doing the control.

Thanks for that....Eric L was a small ish grey haired little old chap, I remember the time he'd just bought one of those Ducky ariels for his TX and was trying to jump as high as he could for a signal..........Have you anything from Simon Hardmans 28 lb Dakota PSS model roughly 1984 ish onwards really looked the business on the horizon or Neils Concord and the PSS or XC events would be really great.
