Very late comment, but my tensioner failed at about 25k miles. That's with no burnouts, no racing and driving it mostly on the weekends. Anyway, your video was a very great help, especially the part on getting to the lower bolt.

I just caught on to what you said. (I had autoplay on while working in my driveway and your vide replayed ). You must not of watched “both” videos the dude “Reignited” made regarding oil pumps. The Melling 10452HV oil pump gives you 20% more flow in volume vs stock and 8% more vs the hellcat oil pump. Yes the HellCat pump is better (12% more flow) than stock, but the Melling is more volume and more pressure, and its only $212 at Texas Speed website. Reignited goes into depth on why the Melling High Volume pump is better. You must of been referring to the Melling high pressure oil pump. Around a year ago, Melling now makes “two” pumps for the 5.7 a regular high pressure (10452), and a High Volume (10452HV) which comes with a high pressure relief spring. Gotta make sure the pump has the “HV” in the model number. Also, My Ram has been phenomenal since the rebuild (MK-82) and much more. I absolutely LOVE the added power, and the chop, its not too aggressive but its definitely noticeable. I subbed too be cool bro, Happy Holidays!

Update on our last conversation…. Remember my cam phaser jumped off the cam. Well come to find out, he didn’t torque it with a “Torque Wrench”, he used a electric impact gun. Which on some things its ok, but not the damn cam bolt, or anything that has full control of the engine functionality. Anyway, I personally rebuilt my Hemi, and Im glad I did. Whatever needed to be torque to spec, thats what it was torqued to. Great news, She is chopping away now. I still need to tweak the tune. Im getting the VVT code, so that has to be dialed in, and also, I think because the Mark 82 cam, my brake booster must not be getting enough vacuum, because the brake pedal is really hard to push. Have you heard of anything like that? I might have to add an electric vacuum booster. Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and share the great news!! Be safe, and Happy Turkey Day!

You got me nervous now lol. Im having the FRP Mark 82 kit installed in my 2011 Ram 1500. I didnt want anything too strong, but a little noticeable, and a little choppy. But still use as my daily. (New mark 82 cam, springs, push rods, mds delete, non mds lifters, and melling HV oil pump as well) Let me ask, who did your initial tune? I get mine back in a few days.

One mistake that many make with these cars IS buying with EMOTIONS instead of FACTS. Don't be mesmerized by the color, rims, mufflers, or the interior but rather drive, listen, see and smell. Also get an extented GARANTIE for at least 1-3 years. This is a used Car for 35-50K and regardless of Your occupation You didn't pay for Problems. Also most of these car 2014-2016 have Problems with the tranny and are automatics. I'm buying a 7 speed Manual because They tend not to have those issues. I live in Germany and before and after I buy a car WE take it to a reliable mechanic. If after driving you see oil, smell rubber, or hear sounds from the rear, shocks or Motor, take it back. Don't get attached to it thinking you can fix IT or IT will stop. Buying with EMOTIONS is the cause for so many Horror Stories, when in reality it's Their own fault. Do Your Research too. 2014 was the best Most reliable year for the C7. I personally want a Manuel because that's driving to Me. Gear banging might seem Kool but Look inside a Torque tube and the rubber bushings go bad mostly because of hard usage. A Clutch takes much longer but either way it can be expensive. The Kit for an Automatic costs about 50 bucks for a set, but the Labor is what You're paying for. Take your time and use the knowledge and experience of a mechanic and never by a car with more than 2 owners, better 1 previous owner, and limited Miles. Be careful and take your time. Beware of the Z06 because of the Heads. To rectify that problem costs 3K now or 10K later when You have to buy a new motor. Besides a Sting Ray or GS are more practical and reliable if taken care of.

This is the exact cam i picked for my'16 RAM 1500. Plus a 3000 stall with custom tune plus i played with the transmission tune on shift points and line pressure. You can't grab a $100 Bill of the dash as long as I'm on the gas

Sounds good but I think I liked it more with just the mufflers gone. I think ima do that to mine(3.7sh-awd) and get a sport intake. I don’t really like to loud or low of an exhaust. But I love the intake noise especially when dat Vtec kicks in. Baby turbo as I call it 😂. Nice video tho
