Beautiful lumps of gold, I nearly missed your video as it is a bit longer between the last one and this one, the other two people I watch regularly, Goldfield Goose and Outback Gold Fever have been a bit slow also, it could be I am bored and still in SA, got the new engine put in my old Maverick, runs really well for now only they didn't tighten up the exhaust manifold or put a new gasket in there so the motor was ticking away a bit, I took the heat shield off and tightened the twelve bolts but haven't been able to get a new gasket so I will wait until I am back home then get one and do the job properly then I know it is done right, apart from that it seems to be ok and I will be heading back up in a couple of days, I am trying to get a flat tyre of off my tandem boat trailer that I have put a new tyre on the spare but the wheel nuts are a bit rusty so I WD40 them last night so I will try to undo them today, I needed a new drive for my Rotary Hammer to get the nuts of with but the local country hardware store didn't have the part I needed to use that, another excuse to buy more tools. Hi Fats (& Mrs Fats) Suggest getting a pXRF zap of it, most field geologists have them with them these days out and about while they are working that will give you an idea of what the blue stuff is. Keep the videos coming Love EM! Cheers Chris

Hi Fats, I have a rock with the same thing in it and it the right light can see the blue. The rock was found by my mate when Prospecting using his 7000. It really sends the 7000 off too. It really bottomed out. I would love to know what it is but it is not Galina as I have seen Galina in rocks and under magnification as well, but this is blueish-cobaltish colour. I will send an email with a pic or do you have facebook? It does not look like Sphalerite or copper pyrite and it sure does not have any metallic properties. The reason I say this is because there is no mention of its conductor properties. Maybe I stand correcting. Just hope someone can help us. Come on you geologist help us out here. If anyone knows, I have this rock in the Perth area and would love to have the material analyzed.

You have got the blue's I see, NFI myself, good to see you are still on the gold and enjoying yourselves, I am in Port Augusta at the moment and attempting to go fishing, the small local jetty ended up being closed and looked as though it had been closed for some time now, not a good look for a fishing town or tourism, must have the wrong people in charge, the shopping area is obviously only designed for able body people and not elderly or slightly disabled people that still limp around, have you noticed how there are no sitting down area's in shopping centres these days, I suppose that's so the unemployed and pensioners don't hang around, oh well, it is just more dollars the town will miss out on. Ive found the same stuff near Murrin Murrin in quartz. From memory, it was Sphalerite. Had it ID'd at the school of mines in Kalgoorlie.
