In layman's terms, what you are chasing implies you don't have it. When you chase you repel like same poles of magnet. That's why, detachment shows you don't chase it. More metaphysical but breakit down logically and it will make more sense

You are doing pretty good for a 19 year old. Dont stay indoors all the time. Hang out with your childhood friends sometimes. Go to gym regularly. Go out to a nice resturant or bar in the weekend. Get some girls. But mainly, go outdoors more

So I have been doing a lot of these and these work well. To your point about using melatonin, A good suggestion would be to sleep after 16-20 hours after you wake up. By that time you will be so much exhausted, that even if you lie on the floor, you will sleep automatically. You wouldn't need an extra pill. (Externally induced melatonin has long-term negative effects)
