Didn't they show on one episode that if Dr. Smith had not gotten them lost in space, that the Jupiter 2 would have been destroyed on its original path?

As a very young British kid. I fell in love with US tv and the US. A tarot reader told me i would move to the US. Not possible or likely. Probably 10 years later i met and fell in love with an American. He wouldn't live in the UK so we moved to the US.

It was great to see how highly Burt Reynolds thought of Jonathan Harris and was even inspired to some extent by him to go into acting.

He was an absolute genius ❤. What a legendary player! He took the role which was an after thought and not in pilot rewrote pretty much every script to make Smith WORSE, and sadly made enemies of some of the other actors. They were the intended stars of the show and he absolutely stole the entire series.

Harris changed his performance as he was instructed to, the TV executives thought Lost in Space was inappropriate due to its content being too violent for a family audience. These executives decided to make it family-friendly by restructuring it to be more in line with the then-fad of the psychedelic pop culture of the age. This was one of the worst decisions ever made by a TV network as far as interfering with content is concerned. As a direct result, I stopped watching Lost in Space and began watching more serious Sci-Fi programs with a bit more gravitas.

I wonder what Harris’ opinion of the singing voice of Irwin Allen’s would-be soprano wife was…?

I had always hoped for a finale that brought Jupiter 2 home and Dr. Smith would escape custody and prosecution by escaping unseen after erasing the robot's memory of him. The crew would learn that Dr. Smith's personality was a ruse and that he was a very dangerous person. Dr Smith would catch up to Will and Penny and confirm what they had been told. He would go on to add that he fell in love with The Robinsons over time and he knew he could no longer harm them.

the spirit there is a girl but her name is not Emily. and she gets very upset by being called that. idk about any town ordinance and please stop calling Joseph the leading Vermont authority. there are so many other ppl with gifts far above him that just don't come forward, and some of the things published have been proven false. vermont is hard because old records were not always well kept or were lost due to natural disasters or fire. the bridge is the right one. but again not the story everyone thinks. I've been to the bridge. the spirit that presented itself screamed in my face "I'm not Emily." it was very hard to hear though due to the running brooke under in bridge. so all my electronic data was void. I only could relay on myself, hence why I don't talk about my experiences much. it's hard to persent anything I hear or see to anyone else that can't.

The cancelation came down to dollars and cents. Bill Mumy didn't mention it here, but years later he and Jonathan did so. The big shots at CBS wanted to cut the budget by thousands, but Irwin refused to accept it. He fought it, but of course, the network won. Or did they? Jonathan felt the show could go another two years but sadly it came to an end.

He was interviewed on WRKO am , back in the 90s. Live radio talk show, by Howie Carr .. Harris was weird as hell.. He talked about wanting 'little boys' to visit him . How he liked little boys, a bunch of other sick crap. Howie was laughing but said later , having Harris on as a quest was strange and unsettling..
