Sows that are in pig and not lactating (dry) require around 4-5 pounds of feed per day. In winter, this can be increased to 6 pounds, if needed. Sows that have farrowed can have their feed increased by around 1 pound per day after farrowing (assuming she will eat it)

Hey Connor, will be interesting seeing how your grazing will work this winter. Suprised how you could step in posts at this time of year. No way we can do that here now, 18 inches of snow on the level for starters and the ground is froze. Guys that swath graze out here use drills to make a hole to put in posts. Looks like a simple fix on the 3020(I assume its a 3020)Lol

Man those calves sure do make a lot of noise. But it brings back memories of when I was in college in NW Iowa in the early 90’s and come fall time you could hear the calves in weaning time. Plus during certain time during the year you could smell the manure that they put in the fields. Fond memories of my time in Iowa!

Hey Connor, sweet skid steer!👍 is that the same size as the other one? Looks bigger. Im wondering about going to a large skidsteer to replace our 4450 mfd. Seen some guys with larger skidsteers handling 2 bales at a time loading semis. In our case, handling and stacking bales and loading silage in the feed wagon. Wondered about an industrial loader but with a skid steer, would be able to use it for more things with the attachments.
@knupperanch29 күн бұрын
Yes this new one is bigger than our old one. Our old one could lift 1300 pounds and this one can lift 2300 pounds. We could definitely handle 2 lighter bales a once with this one, but we need to build a bale spear to be able to do that. This new one also has a 2 speed that makes feeding much faster. We looked into smaller, more compact, loaders with around the same lift capacity as this bobcat that we got, but kinda like you said, we wanted to be able to use all of our other attachments and still be able to fit into tighter places as well. Our skid steer is the most used piece of equipment on our ranch and so far we have no complaints with this one!
