hey i’m going to be doing a course at LSHTM soon and I’m coming from America. Do you have any tips for how I can get connected with some people there before actually getting there? Also, do you recommend getting a car or should I just get around by bus/train? Thanks!!!

Hi, I go to uni in London and I would definitely NOT recommend getting a car! The tube (what we call the train/subway) is excellent and will take you everywhere you need to go- the vast majority of people use public transport.

I’m going to LSHTM in September too! I’m from the UK and you definitely don’t need a car in London, you can get anywhere on the tube and it’s a lot faster then driving. If you have any questions about London I’m happy to answer :)

@@hollymarcus9284 Hey, that’s awesome, Holly! I’ll be taking a short course in November. Maybe we will bump into one another! It would be great to already have some connections there:)

Hey, nice to see your video here since the course is one of my wishlist to apply next year after i retake my ielts. My name is sinta from Indonesia . I was graduated from medical analys diploma and bachelor of public health anyway. I want to ask, is this course also bring you to the laboratory?

Some courses are lab-based and some aren't. I just happened to choose a lab course this term.

I would reccomend working with your peers as the curriculum is changing somewhat this year. Usually the cohort is very collaborative and shares a lot of resources.
