Hell yeah thanks for this video! I was tryna find videos on how this socket works but everyone else is showing how it works in like it's normal application. I was needing to find how does it actually work internally lol

I would like to see a Tumi carry-on diagram circa 2018; it is very different. I have 2 generations of Tumi carry-ons. the older is much sturdier and still intact (but VERY heavy- the shell weighs as much as the contents). The newer one, much much lighter, seems less thought-through. The handle system relies on plastic connections -that I guess have a shorter life span -and mine fell apart. I ended up with a full handle in my hands after retrieving from baggage claim!!

you broke down basically how the world works..it's not about suitcases.

I always used solidworks, worked with it since college. Then I started using inventor, it's been 9 months now, and geez, inventor is very clunky. The software creates 2 different files for the 3Dsketch and create many subfolders for what? Built 3D sketches are just pity, constraints don't fully define the sketch and at some point it will be purple and you will never know why. From my point of view. Inventor is capable of doing the same of solidworks, but a dodgy way. Solidworks is a way better.

Very interesting video, I've got a quick question: Do you happen to remember how the black piece (the one that contains the spring and the moving pieces) is attached to the aluminum pipes? Thanks in advance

My zip tie gun is identical to the one in the video, however there is one more flat metal part that looks like almost rectangular, with a slot in it. I'm not sure where that part goes.

Thanks for the deepdive into how it actually works. My luggage handle became stuck, this video helped show how the mechanism works. Unfortunately on my suitcase the pin retraction works completely fine, it's just jammed stuck somehow even while the pin isn't obstructed. I have a feeling something must be bent

Great video! Was wondering how that mechanism worked, and this was super helpful as well as entertaining!
