Religious belief in divine intervention does not depend on Empirical Evidence of an evidence-based outcome achieved via faith healing. Virtually all Scientists and Philosophers dismiss faith healing as Pseudoscience. It is always hard to make much sense of such Anecdotal Phenomena to the Satisfaction of Scientists but faith healing seems to evoke a placebo effect, not unlike the use of drugs to treat people who are mildly depressed (and therefore experience no true pharmacological response to the medicine). The placebo effect is when a person's physical or mental health appears to improve after taking a placebo or 'Dummy' Treatment. Placebo is Latin for 'I will please' and refers to a treatment that appears real, but is designed to have no therapeutic benefit. Faith Healing is Minimally a Violation of Civil Laws and Government Regulations. When it comes to Children, there's even more likelihood of Criminality. Sorry if You Can't Understand This, it's Not My Problem...

Faith healing is all empirical evidence, which means that some people do intently believe that it works. According to Psychology Today, a large and popular psychology magazine, they believe that is has positive benefits and can work as well. Psychology today ties faith healing to a placebo effect. A placebo effect can mean that because of faith healing, one simply expects to get better. This can lead to a self-fulfilling prophecy, which we learned can have a strong correlation between belief and something happening. Of course, if you have AIDS, or a broken leg, and you go to a faith healer believing it will disappear, it will not, but if you go for a small sickness and believe it, it is possible. It is possible that belief can help the functioning of our immune system, and this is an explanation for faith healing. Not everyone has good experiences with faith healing, though. With no scientific backing or true evidence, it is still extraordinary. There have been many claimed faith healers who have been caught for blatant fraud, two of the most popular are Benny Hinn and Peter Popoff. Benny would call out to a large audience and only bring those up who needed healing. Investigators would follow up after the supposed healing and found that there was absolutely no evidence that any healing occurred. Peter Popoff was caught by James Randi receiving audio from his wife of what to say through an earpiece, completely disproving him.

We are not going to resist sin every time it comes our way, but we at least have to try. And IF we fail, God will see that and bless us! As long as you’re trying to resist sin, it shows that YOUR spirit is aligned with the HOLY SPIRIT. Think of it this way… It doesn’t make God love me any less, regardless of how much I have sinned or will sin, but why would I want to purposely continue living that way? When I already know what my sins cost Jesus, how could I possibly be proud of that? Pastor Andrew, praying in tongues is not automatic, at least not to me. I feel like for my prayers to be answered I have to speak in tongues. I've tried nothing happens.

Andrew Wommack says you do not have to repent, and takes Scriptures out of context to back up his claim that you "just humbly have to receive" the gospel. That is easy believism and is unbiblical. A true believer cannot earn their way to God - salvation IS ALL His doing, as Andrew says. As Andrew says also, believers are not under the law. But, as Andrew denies, true humility and belief in Jesus INCLUDES repentance. Even the demons believe and they shudder (James 2:19), so how can someone who lives their life like a demon claim to be a follower of Jesus? Andrew quotes Luke 5:31 (Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick") but conveniently ignores the very next verse (I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners TO REPENTANCE.”). He quotes Romans 1:16-17 and ignores verse 18 and onward which are an essential part of the gospel - God's love cannot be understood separate from His wrath which he took upon Himself to save us. Andrew quotes Colossians 2:13 yet ignores the context just prior: "In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, BY PUTTING OFF THE BODY OF THE FLESH, by the circumcision of Christ," (verse 11) - ie: REPENTANCE. Repentance is not a work. It is turning from a life of sin to life in Jesus. It is what it means to - as Jesus requires of us - deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow him. Believers are saved by and boast ONLY in Christ Jesus, in whom they live. Yet it is no longer I who lives, but Christ Who lives in me. Luke 24:46-47: He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and REPENTANCE FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Matthew 4:17: From that time on Jesus began to preach, “REPENT, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” I plead with anyone who reads this, read the Scriptures yourself and test every professed 'teacher' of the Word against what the Scriptures say. "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?-unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" (2 Corinthians 13:5)
