Awesome video Wil, also I am curious what is the purpose of the extra rail that sometimes appears around corners? My guess is that's it to help the trains have some extra support going around corners so they don't derail.

Exactly right mate. They're called Check Rails and you'll find them on the inside of tight curves.

Good video , Wil !! How are the tanktainers unloaded at the Cement depot ?- does the loco have to place each wagon to be unloaded individually ?...... and the tanktainers at Toll/Woree ....do they belong to another customer , or does PN shift them south as room permits ? Cheers, Gary.

Yeah, sorry mate. I should have mentioned that in the video. It's a female Bush Stone-Curlew (Burhinus grallarius) that has decided to nest in between the lines. All drivers are taking extra caution on the approach and although she does her best to scare the trains off, she gives up and gets out of the road.

next time you are driving past Mount Surprise, take a look down Cox Lane and you will see my Grandmas house, Both my Grandma and Grandad worked on the queensland railway for their entire working lives.
