Hey boys! Excited for you, Frank! Praying for good stuff. 3/5 of y'all in FL?!? Bring some West Coast (Best Coast!) into this... haha. BTW, The Hartford Institute for Religion Research defines a megachurch as a Protestant congregation that has an average weekly attendance of 2,000 or more members in its worship services.

Glad to see mention the secondary agenda of Christianity Todays Rise and Fall of Mars Hill, which was to blast certain theological positions. I believe they did show a lot of true and useful things in the series, but the other stuff does take away from it, at least in my opinion. One being the whole thing with Rachael Evans, she was not orthodox in many primary Christian doctrines and practices.

I think you missed the boat they are quitting because the bible is not worth following. It is so self contradicting poorly written. It also portrays your god in a very poor light so no one should follow that garbage. Atheist is the fastest growing religion in the world today because it is not based on stupid unproven text.

I love this. I think you guys do a great job. Have you considered adding a seasoned older pastor? I find they have really good perspective and you guys all seem a bit on the younger end. It might add for a fascinating dynamic.

I think Jared does a great job of what he was trying to do. Present the gospel in the most basic concepts. To go get everyone on the same page again. This book is not his best but does a great job of remembering to attempt to keep it simple. With that said many who have been doing gospel centered ministry see this as well duh.

This clip and the commentary at the beginning of this clip were originally posted by The News Division of Pulpit & Pen, and does all of us a great injustice by this article and clip. They pull out 6 minutes of an event (apparently from Bethel Church’s, Transformation Now series). Do you seek to know Truth or are you just interested in judging? Are you open to the Holy Spirit showing you Truth regardless of it aligning with your religious beliefs? This video could be unsettling at a cursory glance, especially given the commentary that comes with it. It could be easy to misinterpret, misunderstand and miss the point of the clip. Also, we only have a 6-minute clip out of a much longer event. Have you ever walked into the middle of a conversation and completely misunderstood because you missed the beginning (or left before hearing the end)? This clip is a good example of that. They state clearly the point of their actions is to bind the spirit of racism that is on this country. Could we agree that there appears to be a spirit/curse of racism over our nation? As Christians, are we called to bind evil on this earth? Matt @ (Matthew chapter 18, verse 18), “Jesus says, ‘Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.’” See also Matt. @ (Matthew chapter 16, verse 19) Next, the whole point about Gandalf: She is using him as an EXAMPLE of the proper use of authority. Nowhere does she use “Gandalf’s authority.” If you pay attention, she even says as the last words of the clip, “Thou shalt not pass in the name of Jesus Christ.” We as Christians have been given that type of authority. Mark @-17 (Mark chapter 16, verses 15-17) (NASB), Jesus speaking to the disciples, “15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17 "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; The staff: This is NOT a “wizard staff” as the commentary states! She is using the staff as a SYMBOL of power and authority; the way a judge would use a gavel in his courtroom as a symbol of his power and authority. The authority is not in the staff or the gavel; the authority is in the person wielding it. Again, Jesus has given us His authority. Furthermore, Moses’ staff was a symbol of his authority and only when it was in Moses’ hands was the power of God was exhibited. (Ex. 4:2-5 [Exodus chapter 4, verses 2 through 5] for starters) Surely you are not saying Moses’ staff was a wizard’s staff as well? (I’m sure you are all aware that Tolkien, author of Lord of the Rings, was a committed Christian and was used by God to lead C. S. Lewis to Christ.) Matthew @-37 (Matthew chapter 12, verses 22 through 37) is pertinent to this situation. The text is there in its entirety so that you can see the complete context (something lacking in the above clip). (NASB): 22 Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed him, so that the mute man spoke and saw. 23 All the crowds were amazed, and were saying, "This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?" 24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons." 25 And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand. 26 "If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand? 27 "If I by Beelzebul cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges. 28 "But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 "Or how can anyone enter the strong man's house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30 "He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31 "Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come. 33 "Either make the tree good and its fruit good or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. 34 "You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. 35 "The good man brings out of his good treasure what is good; and the evil man brings out of his evil treasure what is evil. 36 "But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 37 "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." “Oil your door”: There is precedence for this with Passover (See Exodus 12). The Israelites were to mark their doorposts so God would pass over those houses and not kill the first-born sons [“Thou shalt not pass”]. We don’t hear what Apostle Silvoso said so we can’t judge its content. From the rest of the content, it would appear that the oiling your door (she makes a curved motion with her hand that might indicate she meant the doorposts sides and top as in Passover) and standing in front of your door and doing this is to remove the spirit of racism out of your house and to keep it out, however, the full content is really needed. Apostolic Decree: Silvoso says, “You are standing in authority as kings and priests and all of us we are an apostolic people with authority that God has given to us, we decree and declare that racism will end and it’s over and the ekklesia from this night forth in Jesus mighty name.” Definition of Ekklesia: a particular body of faithful people. “Vision of Gandalf”: this term is used by Silvoso in asking Pastor Marlene (don’t know where the commentary gets her full name, it is never mention in the video-what else didn’t they show us?) to explain the part in the movie she is referring to. When she speaks about her vision, she never mentions Gandalf. However, what Gandalf does in the movie, according to her explanation, is EXACTLY what we as Christians are to do when confronting the devil; we are to USE OUR GOD-GIVEN AUTHORITY (Mark @) to cast out evil and we are to STAND FIRM and not back down. Tolkien uses Gandalf in that moment in the movie to represent what we are to do as Christians fighting evil with our God-Given Authority. The staff is still like a gavel - to drive the point home that our authority is greater than whatever authority evil thinks it has or has been given. There’s a saying worth repeating here, “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” Do you understand that ONE OF SATAN’S GREATEST JOYS IS WHEN THE CHURCH ATTACKS ITSELF?! Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. And when we throw stones at our brothers in Christ, we are doing what satan wants, not what God commands. John @-35 (John chapter 13, verses 34 through 35), 34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Additionally, we are ONE body (unity), John @ (John chapter 17, verse 21), “21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” Col. @ (Colossians chapter 3, verse 14), 14 “Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. And finally, brothers and sisters in Christ, Mark @-40 (Mark chapter 9, verses 38 through 40) says, 38 “John said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us.” 39 But Jesus said, “Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is for us.

It's paramount to discern that when the Lord declared _"I will build my Ecclesia (Matt __16:18__),"_ modern day institutional church is *not* what he had in mind. Ecclesia refers to born again people gathering together to build each other up in the faith. Like the one pastor said, *family.* Literal sons, and daughters of God. The King James translated "Ecclesia" to "Church." Church is a man-made religious institution that's operated like a business or corporation. Church has a vested financial interest in church membership and attendance. The Gospel of salvation was not made to generate revenue for a corporation. In order for it to do that, it has to be tweaked and adjusted. Like Islam and Buddhism, Churchianity is a real religious belief system that people practice. Churchianity is not Christianity.

Hey guys, great video. Does anyone know if Bill ever made a statement about the situation? Because it was another ministry renting Bethel's facilities. While he was there on stage, I know from hearing some of his stories before that he'd probably never destroy someone on stage if they're out of line. So a statement following the situation would really go a long way.
