I found electronic music in 2001 as a kid growing up in Alabama with Oakenfold's Tranceport and started diving into the music hard. Some how ASOT escaped me for a while and then I stumbled upon it on a car forum I was a part of when this episode dropped. What an amazing experience listening to this live and then many many many times over the years. This set and the classics set were so good let alone everyone else that night. This is the trance I love and remember starting here through like 2008.

Agree the latest years, all asot is a totaly garbage.Noisy and idiot souns,kidy melodies simply pathetic.We try to found 1 track in 5-6 asot playlists.... I dont understant why Armin choose this model.

He did play progressive house and techno when he first started DJing and ASOT. He used play tracks by John Creamer and Speedy J and Moshic too and some of Harry Lemon's sets were progressive house. But I get what you are saying. Check out B From E - Amnesia [Haŵs] and, Alan Backdrop - Oneiron very trancy! and Artifact 303 as well.
