How old is this type of pack? Looks like a few years of age
@GlobalCardCollectors6 күн бұрын
Actually this set was released in November this year. They’re selling out really quickly. Everyone wants the Pikachu card from this set. It’s selling for almost $1000NZD
@EasonLiuMusic6 күн бұрын
@@GlobalCardCollectors Wow, that much per pack! Did they not make a lot of the cards? Did you get them in Istanbul then?
@GlobalCardCollectors2 күн бұрын
@EasonLiuMusic Sorry, I wasn't clear in my last message, the rare Pikachu card is selling for $1000 on its own. The packs are around $10 each if you can find them. I bought a booster box of them (which contains 32 packs) for $200 in NZ in November. These same boxes are currently selling in NZ for almost $400! Crazy.

Sweet cards, I'm getting back into card collecting, is it worth getting the cards graded cause comic book grading the bottom is falling out of it.
@GlobalCardCollectors12 күн бұрын
Great question. Really tough one to answer. I’m not sure about the comic market but the card market in terms of grading is still super strong. What that means in ten years time is anyone’s guess
@GlobalCardCollectors12 күн бұрын
And by strong I mean that the number of people grading cards is still high, not that having a card graded will bring huge extra value to what you have
@filthymcnasty562512 күн бұрын
@@GlobalCardCollectors Yeah like you've typed we'll find out in 10 years whether card collectors will regret getting their cards graded like the comic books. some comic collectors have regretted cause of so many graders plus you can't enjoy reading them. Ooo shit I'm starting to ramble. Thanks, you.

I think it's awesome that TCG and card collecting come in so many shapes and sizes - you've got those that actually play and compete and others who just collect, and that could just be within one brand as well. Yugioh and Duel Masters were such a big thing for me as a kid. It's awesome seeing you guys so passionate about your respective card collections!

Ive always wondered how a predominantly US staff authenticates those relatively unknown (sorry ruby) autos. Its cool they do, but would be interesting to see how they get the information for those people who there isnt really a volume to compare to. Side note, great interview with nat turner on neos channel the other day. Sounds like psa is in great hands with him.
@GlobalCardCollectors28 күн бұрын
Yeah I'm curious about that too, definitely a valid question! Maybe that's why it took so long? The only reference I have is Steve Grad from Pawn Stars as he was a PSA authenticator. From what I could tell he would have a collection of autos to compare to when authenticating but as you've pointed out, someone like Ruby Tui isn't exactly known to US authenticators.
@shinykiwitcg262228 күн бұрын
Congrats on the returns! Those cards are epic my man! When are you getting your lomu rookie cards back from PSA?
@GlobalCardCollectors28 күн бұрын
Thanks mate! It's going to be a wee while before I can get them graded. I've got them sitting in my COMC account right now and will be sending them off to get graded as soon as I have the money to pay for it. Grading isn't cheap!
@GlobalCardCollectors28 күн бұрын
Actually, spurred on by your comment I've gone ahead and submitted 5 cards for grading with PSA. Two Lomu rookies, a Shane Warne Hattrick card, a Warne/Lara Bat 2 Ball card and the Lomu Gold card! Apparently it's a 12 week turnaround. Fingers crossed!
@abangboncet972828 күн бұрын
Do you have to submit somekind of evidence like video or photo for the authentication process.

Sadly if you’re after anything outside football cards it’s slim pickings. I’d take a look at the Mythos website as a starting point but fair warning, for the most part when you do find them it’ll be expensive.

Very much enjoyed the chat guys. I'm based in New Zealand and over the last 6-9 months a card collecting friend and I have been writing to rugby players from New Zealand, to get cards signed. We've had huge success in obtaining somewhere between 300-350 signed cards (some players have multiple different cards and they've been happy to sign all of them). Paying players to get cards signed is absolutely not a thing here in New Zealand, with 99.5% of players super happy to help out. We're very lucky here. Having said that, maybe they're super happy to help out because not so many people here look for through the post autos. Maybe if more people did it, the players might not be so happy? Oh well, make hay while the sun shines I guess :-) . Thanks for the interview guys, super interesting
