I think a key thing, for wool clothing, is to use wool-specific laundry soap, because ordinary laundry soap eats away at the material. I used to think all the holes in my wool clothes were caused by moths but, after seeing various moth-related videos, i realise that there's no actual evidence of moths.

But is it okay to wash in 60 degrees Celsius?

It doesn't matter how high tech the pants are, if you're sitting in a puddle in the cockpit you WILL get wet. And wet = miserable on a boat. The pants should be PVC which is totally waterproof, unlike breathable fabrics which by their very nature will leach water if immersed long enough.

I would think HH should blend the merino and polyprop together in both the mesh layer and outer layer !!! Because: merino should be on the skin. And polyprop would increase the outer layer's durability How bout it?
