It is not about ”being primitive,” directly. It has to do with implementing the Copy (marker) trist,. That primitive types do, but it’s closer to POD, so that no part of value is on the heap….

We got errors on 25:08 beacuse we have Option enum in our standard library but we also made an enum Option in our codes. That is why we got error in unwrap_or(0) and in other sections.

Hello Everyone! Amazing content yeah! I am still very new to Rust and i noticed something i want to correct so that other people do not work with the same assumption as i had, around kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZrcl3yAmpmmZsU She says arrays allow copy to another variable on reassignment because they are primitive types, well that is not entirely correct, in the case she used; it works! this is because the elements of the array implements Copy trait, therefore the array itself can be copied on reassignment or when passed to a function, but if instead i used Strings as the element of my arrays, i would not be able to get away with the assumptions that arrays always copy on reassignment. But this was definitely very educative. Thank you so much
