I do agree with pauloliver6813's comments about the "Jimmy" character. However, then it was different times and different viewpoints which would not be tolerated now. The comedy though was spot on for the era it was produced, and let's face it - it is funny and is comedy gold. Thanks Dermot. ❤

It shows that the mischievous scallywag Jimmy can sometimes have a heart of gold. Danny Ross was excellent. Thanks Dermot. 😀😀😀

In the credits at the end of the show, it stated that Brian Truman and Dereck Nimmo played the character of J B Ironside. This certainly has confused me as I thought that it was purely Dereck Nimmo. Oh well! 😃

I agree with all the comments. Danny Ross was vital to "The Clitheroe Kids" success. In comedy duos, there is usually a partnership where one is the Comic and the other is the "Straight" who sets up the comedy for the punch lines or comedic entertainment to be delivered. Not in Jimmy and Danny's case though, they both play it for laughs, Sheer comedy genius. 😄😄

Jimmy's voice is a familiar memory on the radio. I think it was at Sunday lunchtime when my Dad had the radio on and we listened as we ate. Wonderful memories!
