My Pb is a 18lb Barbel caught on Halibut pellet from The Trent Nottingham Clifton Grove, fished at the end of the white water from the weir.

I have yet to catch a barbel yet, the Kennet down south is proving rather tricky this year

My PB was on the river severn at monkmoor in November 2 years ago weighed 11-07-0 was a freezing cold day river had a bit of extra water on it. Went with a mate thought we was going to blank had a walk up to him had a chat to him for a few minutes then walked back noticed my rod tip was just tap tap tap thought it was a chub until i lifted into it. Caught it on a 10mm Halibut pellet with a mix of pellets in a pva bag.

My biggest barbel is 12lb, rolling meat on st Patrick's stream. Late 80s early 90s.

I have never caught a barbel but I've always been keen on going to catch one maybe if I win this ityl give me the bug just like my carp fishing

Here's me with my 4lb 6oz PB barbel in my local stretch of the Wharfe 😂 It is my first River season though to be fair. The Trent is the holy grail of barbel fishing though. I really need to go to Newark at some point.

I just started barbel fishimg this season and had a 8lb 10oz fish from the Unicorn Inn stretch of the River Severn on my first trip.

My PB is from the river idle In Retford and it is 11lb 7oz. Stalked the fish for the whole session, got it feeding confident and the carnage let loose! Epic fish from an epic little river no more than 2/3ft in the swim I caught it and could see it all the way, from feeding to hook! Love the river!!!!

0lbs 0oz! I have been fishing for 21 years and never caught a Barbel here in what is now Barbeless Norfolk. An enjoyable and inspiring video that has hatched some plans for a Trent visit in the future…a helping hand with the tackle would be nice 😂
