pls describe ventilation requirements. you've got a bunch of fans, though its not clear you are providing cross-ventilation the length of the brooder. is there a maximum/min velocity? should it be at ground level? is the goal to cool the chicks, or refresh the surrounding air? good vid, thx for the content.

Very nice. How many hens will it hold? Where did you get it? How much does one like that cost fully set up? I know that's a lot of questions, but I was really impressed with your chicken wagon.

We would never survive without our dogs, they are the hero’s of the farm. Get a good dog and keep it on duty and so many problems will go away.

Farmers do wear white pants, on purpose, in the show ring at the fair. Some of us wear whatever has been stained and is no longer used for "good." The critters do not care what we look like, just want us to be sure they have fresh feed and water.

I unroll a lot of the time. Yet when I am not going to be able to feed for say 3-4 days I us an Apache feeder wagon ( rectangular feeder on wheels) with clean hay very little waste.
@MagaRickn

I unroll too. Have for many years! That way, the Alpha cows don't block the rest from eating. There may be a little waste, but everywhere I unroll hay the grass comes back greener! And, in the cold winter, it's comforting to see baby calves plop down in the warm hay for a nice bed. ;) I don't have an device like yours, I just take the binder twine or net wrap off, and then roll the bale out with the front tire on my tractor. Takes a little practice, but it works. If the bales are baled screwy, then I can just pick it up on my bale spear on the front of my tractor and shake/scatter it that way. Good video. :)

How many head of cattle and type would you suggest for 15 acres of pasture? What type of graze would you plant to start?

This is an impossible question to answer, to many variables and stated goals, keep following and we will continue to explain what the carrying capacity of our farm is month to month. As we continue to heal this farm our carrying capacity will increase. As far a breed, can’t speak enough of south pol cattle but that’s also very area specific Keep following and watching

Cows look great man! I’m struggling to get feed to mine…too wet and muddy all winter to use our small 4x4 tractor Been tryin all kinds of ways to get the round bales out to them on the hills to unroll by hand…..using quad and small trailer to deliver hay bale,,then pushing em out. Great videos brother

Good to see you wearing the proper safety equipment. That was a close call on your leg. Glad that wasn't serious. After all the snow, we have rain now and the snow is pretty much washed away. Just a few piles from the snow plows. I enjoy watching it snow, making snow cream and snowmen, but after 3 or 4 days of it, I'm happy to see it gone! ha.

I am in southern middle TN. I wound up with 7.5 inches of snow in the yard! Woke up one morning to -3 degrees. I don't like the cold or the snow at all. You have done a good job taking care of all the animals and making sure they are fed and watered. I know it's a long process, especially when it's cold outside. Take care. Hope all are safe.
