Mid 80s when les wanyika were at the top of entertainment. This song was ment to bid the band members together in plenty and in need. But saying is easier than actions than sooner Issa Juma left to form super wanyika and the band somehow experienced a near death

I first met orchestra Bwambe Bwambe in My home town Bungoma as a teenager i went to see them in Saloon night club where they where lodging it was around 2pm. The dance was to take in the night and as we talked they asked me where they could find Marijuana. I told them i can bring it for them and at that time i was a shoe shiner and a Makanga so it was in a twinkling of an eye i brought them Bangi and they where very happy and told kijana wewe utaingia dance Bure. I can remember the line up 1 Kasongo wa Kanema this was before he joined Mazembe. 2 Chou Chou 3 Shaba Bass guitar 4 Kayembe Nyonga. 5. Ekombo was a drumer 6 Bosho vocals 7 Devo lead guitar. 8 Jimmy Kaninda rythim guitar and two whom i have forgotten. The muscic was very great and the following morning thy left bck to Nairobi where they where based. Three years later i moved to Nairobi Eastlegh then to Dandora where i met them. By then Dandora estate had only face one and all Bands lived in Dandora so i could visit most bands as they practiced and after a short while i joned Juma Toto of Tody National band as a drumer. By then Juma had just left Hoddi Boys band. I realized Bwambe Bwambe was formally a Band which broke up from Orchestra Baba National of Baba Ilunga wa Ilunga the famous Baba Gaston as a matter of fact they they recorded viva Christmas before they left Ilunga. Not forget to mention John Ngereza was a solo guitarist of Bwambe Bwambe before he joined to form Less Wanyika with Proffesor Omari shaban. Many are dead may God rest their precious souls in Eternal peace in christ jesus. I learned how to play saxophone 🎷 skills from Kalombo Mwanza who waas with Bwambe before he formed Orchestra viva Makale. As you can hear from the background the Man Kalombo was very great on saxophone. him and Atei. Tabu of Mangelepa and Lawiso this guys where great to the point even Verykey of orchestra Veve respected them.

Nostalgic. Late 70's and early 80s, this song ruled the airwaves courtesy of VOK. Tot Centre was wild. Wazee kama Micah, Kimakal, Kapteret and William Kongara had their radios tuned the whole day. Life was good.
