@JamieIrwinGuitarTuition Don't worry, I'm also learning new riffs with your videos so I'm always looking forward to what you upload to learn it haha, By the way, could you help me with the strumming of the song Four To The Floor by Starsailor, I was able to get the chords from the official video and the strumming at the beginning is apparently easy, But I have doubts about how the strumming is in the chorus. Could you help me and tell me what the strumming is like? :D

Tuning? Is that important for this song?
@JamieIrwinGuitarTuition11 күн бұрын
The original is in D standard, which means every string is tuned down a whole step (2 notes) So from low to high, it's D G C F A D. But most people play it in standard tuning, I've even seen footage of Nirvana playing it in standard. And I did the video in standard just so you don't have to detune. However, that is a good question because I usually mention this in the videos and I forgot to here.

What sort of skill does it take to play this riff as well as sing the verse at the same time? I tried it but it always fails.
@JamieIrwinGuitarTuitionАй бұрын
It is a lot harder than it seems! It can help to play along with the original (although you need to tune down a full step to do so) and also you can figure out which note of the riff each syllable of the lyrics lands on. Takes a lot of patience but you'll get there!

What is the tuning ?
@JamieIrwinGuitarTuitionАй бұрын
It’s in drop D. So standard but tuning the low e string down to a D note. The original is also tuned down half a step, but I didn’t do that for this video to make it less hassle to tune for

@JamieIrwinGuitarTuitionАй бұрын
Thank you! Distortion is the lead setting on the amp, which was my Marshall DSL40c, and I also used my Boss Space Echo pedal for the delay and reverb. I always add delay when playing an Oasis solo, big part of the sound!
@auyon84Ай бұрын
@@JamieIrwinGuitarTuition amazing! What delay setting(s) do you use?

@@auyon84 I can't remember the specific settings but enough to give it a bigger sound, but not so much that it's overpowering! Something you just have to experiment with

I had left a comment on your previous video but apparently it was deleted so I reposted it haha I told you that I wanted to buy an electric guitar like the one you have but Fender is a very expensive brand, do you know if Chinese guitars are good value for money? or is it better to save I found a SteelPro brand Telecaster. I don't know if you know that brand.
@JamieIrwinGuitarTuitionАй бұрын
That's strange! I didn't see the other comment. I haven't heard of SteelPro. I'd say if you want a more affordable Tele then go for a Squier. Squier are owned by Fender so you know they're good quality, but a lot cheaper
