Just fix my issue for 2019 Kia soul lx. Trunk wouldn’t open. Didn’t hear no clicks. Checked all fuses. Fuses were all good. Purchased the actuator and the latch from Amazon for $50. Changed the latch first and that solved my problem. Keeping the actuator for a spare now just in case. Saved myself a lot of money. KZbin is a money saver!!!!

Your white plug will have a clip which needs to be depressed, then pull to unplug.

Recall date 2023-08-23 Recall no. 23V594000 Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2016-2017 Rio, 2016-2018 Optima, 2017-2018 Optima Hybrid and Optima Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. The trunk latch base may crack, preventing the opening of the trunk from the inside. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 401, "Internal Trunk Release." I had this same problem & Kia changed out my latch for free. Fixed in about 45min at the dealership.

kia knew about this issue they should be offering free service for it to be fix i have kia soul 2016 the trunk won't open i believe its wiring or could be latch.... itself

My dobe just Passed away today.. Due to a stroke I had no time he fell sick was having heavy breathing nd coughing.. Suddenly he choked and there was no life blood came out from his nose.. He was just 7 months old.. Miss my bingo he was a joy to be with.. Didt even have time to take care of him.. How can this happen, im in a state of shock he was was happy dog with i couldn't spot any issues. He had routine vet chkup jst amonth ago..

My Doberman was diagnosed 4 months ago. My dad noticed a slight cough and night but mostly restlessness. She was first diagnosed and given medicine. Two weeks later she was back at the vet because she had stopped eating. Because her heart was beating so fast and not hard enough her organs weren’t getting enough blood flow so that is why she didn’t feel like eating. She stayed at the vet for a week while they adjusted her meds ( mostly to try to get her heart to slow down) and try to get her to eat. When they sent her home here heart was beating slower but she still wasn’t eating so his hope were that we could get her to eat. Finally she started eating and is still eating. We just got back from our second checkup since then and he says her heart sounds the best he’s heard it since and that we can wait 6 months before we bring her back if she doesn’t seem to be getting sick. I guess the reason I’m telling you this is because I was wondering if you had any advice. We have been very good with giving her medications she needs and try not to let her over exert herself.
