Hi Chris - I’ve just found your channel and it’s fantastic ! New subscriber. Could you tell me something about your yellow guitar, it looks stunning. Regards from Scotland.
@chrisrastelli4 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching! If you need any help with anything guitar related let me know! That guitar is special to me, my mom got it for me soon after we got to America! I went to Stevie b’s guitar store to in search of that clean “sultans of swing” tone! My mom loved (Dire Straits) I wanted a Fender with super clean tone! But none of the guitars I tried had it… Then I played one of those G&Ls with clean pickups and was like omg that sounds really good! Then the guy said I could order a custom made one for the same price! So I picked yellow with the wood showing I guess! I don’t know why I thought it’d be cool! And even though we were never rich my mom had a little bit of money saved up at that time and she went all out to get it for me! She knew how much I loved guitar and encouraged my passion. (Tbh it was the only thing I was half decent at, she probably was like: “Thank the lord! He’s not doomed after all” I was really lucky and I’m thankful for it! I think she did a good job as a mom! Nobody’s perfect but I wouldn’t change it for anything else! She supported me and always tried her best for me through my stubbornness and sometimes stupid decisions. I feel I’ve been given a lucky hand in life and I want to pay that back by helping people, this is why I love teaching! Maybe it’s in a small way, but maybe I make a small difference that counts a little bit in this infinite universe where we’re nothing but a grain of sand in comparison! What about you? Do you have a special guitar?

This is the only guitar video of a legend ive ever seen, doing something that I already did out of habit and experimentation. Usually it's a legend showing me that ive been doing something fundementally wrong fkr the last 18 years.

@chrisrastelli8 күн бұрын
I rewatched the first 4 minutes and in summary I said: If you want to get better at lead guitar and play what you ear and feel you need to focus on 3 areas: Pitch: Rhythm: And Soul: Later in the video I break down the rest. I meant to give an overview and then dive deeper into the content once it’s mapped out! Do you think explaining each points right away would be better without an overview? Guys let me know so I can help better! Thank you!
