Good, now I feel more prepared. Aside from the weight difference between this locomotive and my Honda Fit, the process appears to be about the same. 😅

I loved the 60I's. They were the workhorse of the NS Buffalo Line coal and gypsum train until about 2019. It was sad to see the go but I'm glad B&P got some SD60M's. Their horns would echo through the valleys and you could hear them coming from 30 miles away. Let us never forget these Conrail Queens!
@bnsf7562Ай бұрын
They were exciting to see out on the main lines. Did B&P remove them from their roster? If I remember correctly, they have GEs now.

Wow what a great find awesome work and videos reminds me back to when I was a kid with my dad and my little brother we used to go down there and watch trains all the time and then get ice cream at Quaker square another fun fact you can chase this train clear from Broad Blvd. Cuyahoga falls all the way into barberton very good place to watch trains in the summit county area

Hello there sir. I just have to say though I really appreciate. You're knowledge on the wheeling and Lake Erie history. And excellent shots at state route 99 I have to get over there soon and see if i can catch some action there at that location myself. And I will absolutely mention you on my channel too. Manny thanks, on the history. Take care now. Mike N8RBI radio. From Collins, Ohio.

Appreciate the kind remarks. The Wheeling is one of my favorite railroads and much of what I include informationally is researched beforehand to ensure accuracy. Thanks again for looking!

Interesting how you’ve now referred to the Rochelle park as “infamous” in the description. Any reasoning for that?
@bnsf75627 ай бұрын
I guess in my mind, infamous means something more positive than what it actually means. Perhaps I need to adjust my description.

G&W does not really own the Pennsy line, CSX does. It's leased to CF&E. Also same with NS, operated with Trackage Rights. As of 2024, their trackage rights no longer exist. I think they stopped paying for them around 2020, it really sucks. CSX runs occasional grain trains down the Pennsy, I only ever got to see one. And there are also occasional CPKC sand trains that go through for the Wheeling & Lake erie. Sometimes they go as far as the Lima yard and sometimes up to Upper Sandusky into the siding. I also got to see one of those.

(17:51) I visit the Sterling area quite often to railfan the CSX New Castle Sub and walk on the County Line Trail that was built on top of the former Erie Lackawanna right-of-way, since I live approximately ten miles from there in the north end of Wooster. The W&LE Brewster Sub is less than five miles from where I live, and I always have to cross over it at the Eby Road crossing outside of Smithville on my way to Sterling.
