I used to love Andy Kaufman. I still do,but I used to,too. 😉

The point of Kaufman was to make the audience uncomfortable. Andy would make any audience uncomfortable now or then, there is no "getting it", Kaufman would push the audience as far as he could get away with in any era.

He was far too intelligent for me. I didn't find any of his jokes funny.

I wish I had this much to say because I've been stripped of my words by apathy, and I wish I was half as talented as this and brought this child into an unappreciative world.

I used to think I wanted to be a poet, but I heard people like Ginsberg and realized that I would never be a poet. I admire them so much and only wish I could paint those kinds of pictures with words.

This was my intro to Kaufman. This was the PERFECT first clip and if I had seen anything else first it would never have been the same. I didn't know if it was his normal self or if he got better as he went...I don't know when I fully understand the joke of the first act, but I absolutely lost my shit at, "Ladies and gentlemen, um, thank you. I think it's...not working."

I remember Andy has a little kid on Saturday night live in the 70s. And I remember him wrestling and all the commercials taunting the South. It's a really lucky people are the ones who got to see him.

Literally the only funny part was when he had the lady come onstage and kick tony Clifton's ass. This man was way overrated. Anyone can get on stage and talk nonsense. Hackiest of all hacks. If he really faked his death he did the comedy world a service
