Ludwig still to this day, are the best sounding drums on the field. I know all these youngsters will say Pearl, but nope, you just never heard Ludwig on the field. I'm glad to see them back..now get Spirit signed back on

This clarinet has in my opinion poor quality keywork that makes it difficult to play well. I regret to say that after purchasing this clarinet it is no longer used because of this reason.

Nothing like the sound of a Bach trumpet in the hands of fine artists.

Do you want me to fail often !!?? The trumpet is such an unforgiving instrument. That's hard to stomach. Thanks for the vote of confidence 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😥🎺

Hi Brian. I know it's a little late in the game to ask a question to you, but do you recall if the lacquered Ref 36 was an older model or one of the newer ones before Selmer stopped the run? I am loving the sound of it and might be getting a beautiful , older Ref 36 Flamingo. Your playing is absolutely stellar! Thank you.

I had ZERO IDEA as to how instrumental LeRoi Moore was in Rashawn Ross's recruitment into DMB. That's amazing!

Don't need the water key. But, whatever. Need CONSISTENCY in production and the Great Elkhart Letter Series specification. Greatest French horns EVER made - by a LONG way. Need a GREAT FRENCH HORN - I DO - NOW!!! Please, please... RECLAIM the former glory, because no one else will ever do it.

Okay, I'm still confused. What exactly does two-piece valve casings do compared to one piece valve casings?

Come on Ross! You said in an interview, that there's not nothing like the sound of a Monette which you endorsed at one point. I don't like when famous musicians do that when the camera is on

Which Ludwig Drums sounded awful in the 90's ???, there where great !! Back then so I dont get that part , may be wrong choices of heads/ sticks / tunning , the only thing that they did not have where freefoat snares ( only after 94 those where not on top of the game drumcorps wise )

What better can it be a Fantastic USA brand with & Fantastic History, working together with a Fantastic Corps .. I may be getting g old but Ludwig/ Musser was always a great Brand even when the where not in the big Drumcorps picture.

The valve just looks like a Larry Minic from the 70's. Does anyone know why trombonists go on and on about ever greater allowances of volume, as if it were a requirement of musicianship, when modern oboes and flutes, who live in the same orchestral environment, aren't themselves worrying about getting any louder, and nevertheless they continue to enjoy more enthusiasm and attention from composers and audiences?

When we look at the most famous orchestral brass excerpts (for low brass), we often find wonderful resonant chorales or incredibly loud and aggressive lines that are almost magic. I think this is why trombonists in particular are obsessed with the idea of volume, as a resonant and rich sound is what everyone looks for when these kinds of features are preformed.

I just tried that concept of the wind over tonging and it certainly gives more fuller sound with minimal articulations involved in addition more gaining control as well...thanks for the explanation and demo.❤

Never thought I'd see top corps using Ludwig or Dynasty. Had both of those drums in HS in the 90's and they were absolutely terrible. Dynasty had those "special" screws that would break to protect the shell from overtightening, but were a pain in the butt to remove, and of course would break right before a show. And those Dynasty's replaced our Ludwig's we had, which were just garbage and sounded awful. Not trashing either company, that's just what we had back in those years. At the time, Pearl and Yamaha reigned supreme. ✌
