Man I wish I had seen this video when it first came out and the convo was still going on🙃 That ///M-style TRD badge is epic. The touch of an artist. (And I for one wouldn’t snicker at the car, hood down, and just looking at the ///TRD badge. I would stop in my tracks and be like, “Uh-oh. Something wicked is under that hood.”😈

I have a 2006 Z4 M Coupe and tunnels are little samples of the sound of car heaven with the stock S54 with a cat-back exhaust. Just wanted to say much respect for your creativity. Mechanical art. And that 2J is legendary. Like 75% of the drift cars at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year and last year were 2J-powered. They were just wearing different clothes, so to speak.

Doesn’t this damage the transmission/engine if done incorrectly, had a 335i and was using the paddle shifters on the highway for about 10 miles straight and then pretty sure my transmission broke it wouldn’t even stay parked when I put it on park had to put the E-Brake on for it to stay

What an absolutely stupid design. Why not just use the left shifter to shift down and right to shift up like every other car uses? No idea what made them think this was a good idea..

This happens on my E61 530i, I noticed this when the car is cold and also when the oil is due to be changed as part of the service. After the oil is changed and you start the car from cold I no longer hear the tick tick noise. Perhaps this is the same for other BMW owners with the N52 engine.
