The U.S. government has a long list of dirty deeds. It can be difficult to pinpoint the shot-callers and the ones working in government who are trying to clean it up. Our military is wildly abused by our government and left to rot. There is a lot of backstabbing and manipulating of americans and other foreign entities. Why punks have anarchist ideologies is understandable. It seems impossible to have someone in power and wealth also have integrity and compassion. That's the problem. Money yanks people from their morality. All praise be to God, the most high. Don't be proud. Be a servant.

MY GUESS: They were legitimately bullied growing up to some degree or treated differentially and leaned into it in order to have agency... If they dress punk, they will at least know why they are being treated differently, and the person will now be hating them because they are "goth" and not for the original, unknown, valid or unvalid reason they were bullied . But even without this context, you should honestly be able to dress like that without it interfering too severely with daily life, people are self important and make a big deal about things before stopping to think , and have the delusion that they are in charge of their neighbors
