How do I paint it?
@JasonBuilds1971
@JasonBuilds1971 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner, as I've been very busy of late. First, I would purchase water-based acrylic paints only. Two colors should do. A dark undercoat, and a lighter overcoat to dry brush on, which will bring out more details. I hope this helps.

Thank you for watching and for the question. I would use a pipette to syphon it out of the jar. Wearing gloves is also recommended.

Will it work on lacquer paint or spray paint?
@JasonBuilds1971

I'm pretty sure it will work on lacquer paint. Spray paint, I'm not too sure about. You'll have to give it a try and find out for yourself. If you do, please post your results here. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it! :)

@@JasonBuilds1971 I did and try to remove Revell acrylic lacquer spray paint. It worked but it was a mess, the paint became sticky and gooey and had to be wiped off with some paper towel. So basically pour some stripper, wipe off the melted paint, and repeat until most is gone. I had to do it because the paint melted the plastic a bit and crazed, and the paint stripper damaged the plastic a bit as well. Never had that happen to me before, it was a cheap Lindberg car model. Never buying a Lindberg kit again XD

Nice video, how does the dual to single action valve work ?
@JasonBuilds1971
@JasonBuilds1971 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. All you have to do is twist-off the bottom valve from single action, then twist on the dual-action (or vice-versa). I hope this helps. Take CARE and stay SAFE!

Thanks for this. I've used Splash in the past, but the color I needed was only available from Gravity. Ordered direct from Spain, arrived in SoCal in 12 days. Have yet to use anybody's 2-part clears (not since the 90s anyway) and really like MCW single stage clearcoat. I use lacquer thinner and acetone to clean my airbrush after use with any solvent based product; 99% IPA for acrylics etc.

For anyone thinking ordering Gravity Colors make sure you order from the Spain website (gravity-colors.com) and not the USA website. I ordered from both due to the confusion of which is the correct distributor, and only received paint from the Spain website, and not the other. Just know if you order from gravitycolors.com (USA) they'll just take your money unless you make a complaint with PayPal. This was my experience with the brand(s). Hope this helps.

I agree 100%. I ordered from Gravity USA three times (way before the pandemic) and their customer service is horrible. It took weeks to get product from them and I had to contact them each time. They always had a different excuse why the paint hadn't been shipped. Gravity Colors Spain is fantastic and shipping is only abou $6. I ordered paint on a Sunday and I had it by Wednesday or Thursday and this is shipping from Spain to NY (USA).

@JasonBuilds1971
@JasonBuilds1971 4 жыл бұрын
You are correct... well sort of. After doing some digging, this is what I found out. There are TWO (2) Gravity Colors companies. I'm going to try to make this short. Gravity Colors is a company founded by modelists in Spain in 2013. Their website is Gravity-Colors.com. GravityColors.com, is the website of their former American distributor. They have no relationship with the Gravity-Colors.com website since September 2017. Supposedly they are using their brand without permission. Gravity Colors USA and Gravity Colors Europe products are NOT the same. Gravity Colors USA products are totally different from what is being sold in Europe by Gravity Colors Europe. Poor quality control, inconsistent paint quality and color accuracy on Gravity Colors Europe’s part lead to the breaking up of Gravity Colors International in September 2017. I hope this "he said, she said" explanation helps. If you need any more information, you can look it up on either website. Have a GREAT day, stay SAFE and MODEL ON!

First time hearing about safety solvent. Does it help to soften the edge? I find that when I sculpt with Aves there's a slight ridge that ALWAYS needs to be sanded down and sometimes filled with a different putty.
