Any issue using that gasket with a stock pan as they are not flat like the milodon pan?
@SchoberMotorsportsАй бұрын
@@scottlong-v2q I’d imagine you could use it, but you’ll need to use RTV to seal. Windage tray will not be re-useable I guess is the only down side there.

Love the sound, what was the exhaust setup on it. Pipe size, mufflers, cross over or not etc.
@SchoberMotorsportsАй бұрын
Thank you! Its been so long since I had this setup in the car... I am guessing here. I think I had a set of 3" pipes to dual mufflers that dumped before the rear axle. I believe the mufflers were Thrush welded chambers. No H pipe or anything like that was used.

One thing you can't experience via video is how incredibly loud the track was. Open exhaust race cars doing a burnout. The smell of high octane fuel, oil, grease, and burnt rubber. Popcorn, beer and cigarettes. Everyone smoked back then - especially car guys

Giving it back sucks! Top end racing is brutal. So hard to get good at. Long gone are the days of “dial it down 1 and keep it pegged” now you can basically lose any race at the top end no matter how badly you have em on the tree. Stay in the driver seat bro. Long season ahead.

@@SchoberMotorsports 5.80s is a real good spot for a door car. Especially a big heavy B-body. But in true racer fashion, 5.80s will turn to 70s, then you’ll be back halfing the car, funny car cage, and the snowball continues 😂😂

Did you have to set the bypass at the pump? Does that ever come in to play with the fuel pressure regulator set around 7? Haven’t been able to find much on that in my digging, just curious
@SchoberMotorsports9 ай бұрын
I did not need to mess with the bypass at all. I installed all the lines and then set fuel pressure via regulator and that was it.

Wow is that car beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. I missed what you welded on the valve cover. Was there a vacuum leak that caused the vacuum pump to start pulling a bunch of oil?
@SchoberMotorsports9 ай бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! I originally had the vacuum relief valve on the valve cover, I removed that and welded up that hole. I moved the vac relief valve to the inlet side of the vac pump.
