His purpose for letting Satan do to Job what he did, becomes clear to the reader, but Job himself for the most part thought that it was God doing all these things to him, but there were numerous times when Job would express disbelief that it was God doing these things to him. He argued against God with dialogue about how He was violating all His own laws, rules, regulations, standards, principles in order to be intentionally doing these things to Him, and yet, in his heart, Job knew that God could not be doing this to him. Evidently the existence of Satan or the title "Satan" had not been made known to Job at that time, because Job never mentioned a Satanic power or did not utter the title "Satan" but was always sensing that it just could not be God. The book of Job is the first time Satan is introduced in the Holy Scriptures, but it was by the book writer, who some believe to have been Moses, as he likely would have had oral access to the account of Job by people who would still have it fresh in their mind, and God Himself spoke personally to Moses. The spokesperson of this video noted that God finally appeared to Job, and held a lengthy conversation in the role of a parent/teacher but never once told Job that it was not Himself who had done all those horrific things to him, and yet Job repented of anything wrong or offensive he might have said about Him, and Job acknowledged he had spoken of things too wondrous for him to know. It seems Job realized how fair God had judged him, in that God considered how imbalanced Job's mind, his thinking became because of all that had happened to him!

Good morning, from Tucson! This scripture sounds eerily relevant to this day and age. Dark days ahead. However, I will remember that God IS the "Light In The Darkness".
