Unearthly is starting to intrigue me. Are the mattes good for beginners or a little too advanced for those of us who aren’t the best at blending? I have the Nikki la rose brush set because I love BK beauty brushes. I always forget which side of the double sided brush is for powders and which side is for creams.

You wanna talk about a green tone palette that is a major regret, even a whole line of products that are regrets is Jaclyn Hill’s luxe legacy palette. Her concealer in her brand is so bad, worst I’ve ever bought in 25 plus years (so drying and quick to dry, so I had to use as an eye shadow primer because there was nothing else I could use it for😂. )Her translucent pressed finishing powder is meh. I’ve found better powders at the dollar stores. Everything I bought from her brand is terrible and I had such high expectations since she and Morphe developed one of the best shadow palettes to this day (before they changed the formul/quality under our nose.) Have you tried any of these? I love the Colour Pop Stone Cold palette. It is such a beautiful cool tone palette and we desperately need more great, cool tone palettes. The market is saturated with warm tones, but you can count on one hand how many good cool tone palettes there are on the market.
@YadiBeauty

I bought a few of her palettes and didn’t like them….never tried anything else of hers. I also love the Natasha DeNona glam palette. A good blend of warm and cool tones is the unearthly cosmetics sorcerous smoke palette.

@@YadiBeauty I can’t spend that much one makeup, even when I have the money. I rarely can’t find makeup that is the same or better quality than high end luxury. If I can’t find it affordable I will pay high end, but not often do I have to. I’ll check them out though. As far as Jaclyn I just had such high hopes. It was sooo disappointing.😭 lol. I just couldn’t accept they sucked so bad.

Sorry I am commenting again, but I know it helps your channel too. Lol Allowing concealer to sit after doing a quick blend helps keep the coverage and that’s something I didn’t learn until the past few years, rather than packing on concealer to then have a mess you have to contend with, emphasizing fine lines and looking cakey and dry. I learned to get a great concealer like the Flower Beauty Get Real that is a cream to powder formula so you can avoid having to set the under eyes entirely if you choose. Utilizing a setting mist to make everything more seamless and skin like is crucial, but also if I use a brush to apply and blend in my makeup, taking a beauty sponge after to go over it helps remove the excess, add moisture back into the skin, but it just makes it look so much better than just stopping after a brush application. Even the fingers I use way more for application because it blends better with the warmth of your fingers. Using a concealer that’s your correct shade makes all the difference, and utilizing color theory with a pink or light peach corrector before a brightener makes all the difference. For years I was just highlighting my darkness with concealer much too light for my skin tone and thinking it wasn’t full coverage enough or my dark circles were THAT bad when it was just me not being educated on color theory.
@YadiBeauty
@YadiBeauty Жыл бұрын
Ooh that’s interesting…I’ve never studied color theory. Something to look into..

@@YadiBeauty Robert Walsh was the one who really goes into it, explaining it so it makes a lot of sense. That was the first time I ever really started applying it to makeup and it helped a lot. I love your recommendations by the way. We like the same formulas. You’d probably really like the Neutrogena Creamy concealer that’s a pretty good dupe to the Nars creamy concealer but half the price. I also love the Maybelline Age Rewind. Can’t not have several of those in my collection. Another great one no one talks about for full coverage but skin like, is PhysiciansFormula InstaReady in the tiny pump. That’s gorgeous but the shades suck.
@Petra-beta
@Petra-beta Жыл бұрын
I love the Missha Bb cream so much and it is a spot on dupe for the Dr Jardt bb cream in the gold pump, but for a fraction of the price. No 7 Renew and Restore is also a gorgeous foundation for any age, but one of my favorites for years has been Kokie Skin Perfect (the original, not the one with the gold cap that’s luminous) and Kokie undertones are the most accurate I’ve found in the drugstore and even often times in a lot of high end brands. But it is a satin formula and just gorgeous on the skin, affordable at $12 at Rite Aid and the eye brightener concealer is just as good. The No. 7, Kokie and Bobbie Brown serum foundation are my HG when I’m not wearing a BB or CC cream, like the Missha. I also am a huge believer in mixing products to get your perfect shade or concoction, even a tiny bit of facial oil if I have seasonal dryness in my more matte or more thick foundations to give it a more skin like appearance and a good slip when blending out. I also have been loving patting a primer over my existing makeup to help with texture and fine lines. It doesn’t disturb the makeup as long as you gently pat, but it gives this beautiful airbrushed look to the skin while helping the makeup look fresh way longer. I’m also a big believer in mists to kill that powder look, and make everything merry together better. As I age, I have come to realize light layers and minimal makeup is the way to go. You can still get a flawless look all the same, but it lasts longer while looking like your skin rather than a whole lot of makeup sitting on your face.😂
@YadiBeauty
