Scott, when I hook the wires from the controller to the battery, it sparks, like really sparks. Why?

Hi scott.great videos you have done...need some help.have changed to a lithium phosphate iron lifepo4 battery...on my new solar controller it has b1 b2 b3.settings...i know it's not b1..but can't work out if it's b2 or. b3...any help would be appreciated..😊

I'm switching between 160-watt folding solar panels and a 150-watt 24-volt DC power supply, I also got a battery maintainer that trickles charges only when low. It's a DIY portable power station on wheels with a lead-acid battery. I got this controller for about 6 bucks free shipping. I use 10 gauge with a 30 amp fuseable link and a 6-circuit fuse block.

How can I find the second battery for this?

And as a standalone with no help from solar? 2 hours maybe?

I recently purchased this same one on Amazon but noticed the fan did not come on while it was in auto mode. I had to turn off auto for the fan to come on so in the end I returned it. I notice the fan on your unit was on did you change the auto fan to off or was it in fan auto?

How do you get power to the Ecoflow from 30A or 50A campground hookup? Looks like outside plug just powers up the internal power strip.

Question here. With the solar panels hooked up the lights come on briefly then shut off. With them disconnected the lights work fine. I programmed the charge controller as per your instructions. Any help here? Thanks!

Runaway uses the absolute worst, cheapest, least efficient POS air conditioner in there builds. There are numerous much more efficient 5,000 btu units available. Check out Midea brand.

If i don't use the load output I would set it to off. I charge a battery and run an inverter off of the battery.

I bought this controller and an not satisfied with it. On the website for it, it says that you can set the battery type for different types of batteries,. Gel, lead-acid, lithium. When I got the controller I checked the instructions on how to set the battery type but it says NOT FOR LITHIUM batteries and that's what I have.......Grrrrr!

My flood battery settings won't go higher than 12.6 full charge. Can it go higher and what's the max for a flood battery to be fully charged it also won't let me change my low load setting above 10.6. I'm thinking about changing to a different battery setting that will let me change the settings and set if for flood type but with those settings safer for my batteries. For some reason flood settings a set in stone and the other battery types will let u change settings. Hope that makes sense.

First of all, I’m super new to the whole solar stuff but I wanted to know if u would recommend this ?: (12V 18AH Battery Rechargeable Lead Acid AGM Battery with Nut and Bolt Terminal) For a 30 watt solar kit I just purchased. My thoughts led to this battery because I read the higher AH (18AH) the faster the charge from 30 watt solar to this battery. I hope I made sense 😂

SSP I watched your video, TO LATE 🤦🏻‍♂️ I did exactly that, panel straight to charge controller and now… its not turning on FOR NOTHING. I’ve checked & made sure all connections where on & tight. Is there anyway I can get it to work again? Is it fried or there’s hope. Thank you

It hasn't seemed to work for me at all and the terminal connections are wonky .. You helped me to understand it but I don't trust it any more .. Maybe I'll use it to charge a phone or something light duty

Brilliant, thanks Scott. I almost understood it - the instructions just don't go quite far enough in detail. But now i can charge my truck up knowing the settings are right. Just one ask: can this sort of controller be left connected to the obd port full-time (engine running as well as off)? The instructions don't warn against this, but some other solar charging systems (the AA model without separate controller) do. Thanks again.
